The worst was Katie Taylor getting that decision, didn't even give her 3 rounds, better be a rematch
Great fight tho

my facking god just watched the fight !
Ruiz
Joshua at last shown up for the limited fighter he is
He did the same against Klitschko.
Went all guns blazing and left himself way too open for a counter.
AJ is a decent boxer and should have won last night, he just assumed his sheer size and strength would have been enough to finish Ruiz off, but he was wrong and stupidly left himself open. Way too arrogant.
I thought Ruiz let AJ off as well the round after he knocked him down for the first time. I thought he made the same mistake Klitschko did by letting him recover but I guess that first knock down hurt him a lot more. He looked completely facked after it.
Btw anyone know where I can watch the whole fight ?

And vs Whyte, Takam and Povetkin, had problems and met trouble in all 3, them slow feet and lack of defense, was always going to come
Don’t see what changes in the rematch either
Joshua was obviously doing something right as he knocked Ruiz down first. But same as with Klitschko he gets knocked down soon after that himself. Needs to know how to fight smarter even when in commanding positions.

Boxers do get hit and it hurts more against a heavyweight. Those examples he came through and won the fights.
Ali, Lewis and Tyson got hit plenty of times. These greats responded back and now it time to see if AJ can do the same.

slow feet, lack of defence ...no head movement, and a poor jab
was always gonna catch up with joshua
against a guy so much shorter he should have been able to fight him at distance...if he had a decent jab ofcourse
AJ took a picture with Drake few weeks before the fight
Oh my feckin god, the curse is real 😂😂😂😂

Lol, he supports raptors and they are in the NBA finals and 1-0 up
Did he take a picture with them though? If he had, then they won't win

Aj moves just below mcgregor into 4th on the pound 4 pound 4 pound list
AJ went to finish him off straight after he knocked him down when he should have been more controlled, maybe wanted to make a statement after Wilder got a 1st round ko but he lost his head and Ruiz wasn't as hurt as he thought. Ruiz took a lot of big shots and kept coming forward and outclassed AJ, he could easily win the rematch too. AJ boxing skills got badly exposed.

Not saying he's a terrible boxer but he looks unnatural and wooden to me. He's still the first person to put Ruiz down in his career though. Before the first bell he kept messing around with his gumshield in his mouth which came across as really nervous to me but can't remember if he does this before other fights as well.
Don't understand why losing a fight is considered such a taboo in boxing, most of the all time greats have lost fights before, all this " protect the 0 " is BS, Chisora's lost about 10 times and still one of my favs because he just fights everyone and goes to war losing is no big deal, sometimes it can make you even better
As i said AJ looks happy that he lost and in a way i think he is because the pressure and hype is over now and he's not feeling like he's got to live up to something everytime he fights like big bang knockouts, he's proved he's human
HOWEVER, i do not see how a rematch will end any different especially one in 4-5 months. Ruiz is the same age so he's not going to age, he'll have a full training camp too this time so be even more fresher.
You can't teach or improve speed and defense much only marginally and especially not what AJ needs in 4-5 months, sorry but AJ as i said previously for the last 2 years puts himself in trouble and $hit every single fight he has, and he'll do it again, and Ruiz is just too quick for him, the hand speed and feet is just too much and he has power and AJ already finds it harder to hit him because he's smaller.
Can't see anything other than a Ruiz win again, ala Thompson vs Price
