I agree Hydy, but he's won us points this season.. So he's not the criminal you make him out to be
He's sh¡te Wetherby, cost us more points than he's made.
John Motson, please retire!
Ok... Go on then.... Name them.?
Told ya during the match, he did it twice!
Costs us more points.. But we won.... He's like marmite....
Shame the goals weren't at the Town end... Mounie is lethal given the chance
Thought Bobby Madley was a town fan! great assist for Southampton!
Wetherby
You made all those comments earlier & you hadn't seen the game !
Hilarious.
UTG.
Saying you also "Don't care" & paying all that money to witness a display like that, ?
Questionable outlook.
As I said earlier, The only positive from last night was the three points. It does not put us in a position where by we can be confident going into the three up coming games against,
Swansea,
Palace
& Newcastle.
Three crucial games that I'd be a lot more confident about had we played well yesterday.
My opinion is based on:-
We've made very hard work of breaking down the poorest side in the division, The 2nd goal was 'class'.
And what I'd suggested could & was possible a couple of days ago.. Pritchard sliding balls through for Mounie (or Depoitre) to latch onto.
But on that showing, Whether we can replicate this small glimmer of play against better sides is open to debate.
I cannot for the life in me see how VLP gets in the side.
he does it all the time..but minutes from the end, very predictable play by him,
He breaks away in oceans of space...
Count 'em. 1, 2, 3, 4 Town players streaming forward away to his right, Arms raised pleading for the ball...
And we both (LV) called it to perfection !
"He'll not pass it," & sure enough, Down the blind alley & eventually played the ball back to wards midfield.
WAnchor.
Yet...
In his own mind, he thinks he's on his way to Real or Barca.
That said, Wagner did well !
he only made the swap for Ince 88 minutes late.
(he would have also provided better service for Mounie throughout linking up with Pritchard down the left side.)
The engine as ever worked hard. (Hogg) ,(applause)
But yet again, the MOTM was the '12th man'.
Well done to all concerned.
But.
If winning 'ugly' is the only requirement & most are happy with that, it would seem from last night you're going to get your wish.
So the debatable question,
Are the defenses of the teams mentioned above going to be as incompetent at WBA ? If not, (I suspect not)
A very tight run in.
Wethers, As for playing well & getting nothing v Man United. Surely if we'd played that well last night, or with the same intent, And we can, I'd be more than satisfied. This win was more of a relief than confidence inspiring.
The reality going into this game was,
Just beaten a side away from home 4-1 in a cup comp.
The same in a home win against the 'form team' of the moment in the Prem
Looked terrific against one of the Worlds Conglomerate teams last week.
Then perform like we did last night ?
Sounds like Wagner had to chastise VLP about his antics. Hopefully, DW will drop VLP now! The clown even scuffed his shot for the goal! No doubt he’ll claim that was intentional. I hope the BIG clubs are tracking him.
Admittedly, the odd game may need to be won ugly. However, two many matches have been ugly, time to turn it on DW!
The bigger sides let us play football, knowing we can't score... Lossl was dodgy yesterday, VLP was greedy, WBA have lost less games than us & conceded less goals, yes they are bottom but the've been in this league for 8 years, we've already got more points now than Sunderland and Middlesbrough did last season... And we have 10 to play..... We are doing well... Yesterday wasn't all bad.. I thought we'd won?
😁 I'm sure Waltz and UTG left devastated last night at the lack of quality... ....
It's also a good time to go to Wembley... Spurs have Palace away today, Then the replay against Rochdale on Wednesday, then on Wednesday week they are home to Juventus in the Champions league..... You never know..
I know what you’re saying Darn and LV but I stick by the fact, that to me, points are more important than performances at this stage of the season. I’d love us to play like Man City and sweep aside opponents with style and flair, maybe one day?
At the moment though I just want us to put the effort in and get the points we need to stay up. Then we can invest again and get some flair players.
By the way I thought all the team played well but the standouts for me were Williams, Pritchard and Hogg. With special mention for Kongolo and Schindler.
I thought Williams (he's the real "Vlp" very largepenis) was superb too. His shooting was brilliant yesterday and he was ruining into the corners at 90+ mins.
Great engine has Williams... Unlucky not to score
He’s showing that he’s very much a Premier League player Hydy, hope he continues to play like this for the rest of the season.
We can play better football next season when we have beefed our squad up with more quality!
A bit suprised tbh with the negativity after a Great win!
The near 3000 of us yesterday were bloody delireous at the final whistle 😁
30 points with 10 games to go is a great achievement for a club who were given No chance of staying up
Me too waltz... Couldn't believe the negativity after a superb win.... I remember when you wanted Wagner sacked and we were definitely going down... That was 2 weeks ago waltz! 🤣😃
The only downside for me was being held up due to lane closures on the way home. Please don’t ask me which motorway as I have absolutely no idea, good job I wasn’t driving 😂, but three lanes out of four were closed for a significant stretch. Took us over an hour to go a mile, the air was blue, my son not me.
