Real lack of fight and character in this Arsenal squad. His style of play is shiiiiiiiit but Arsenal could really do with a coach like Simeone to come in and give these players a kick up the aris.

6th place will get you a Europa League spot. No disrespect but Arsenal don't belong in the CL anymore, the English teams this year have all performed really well whereas Arsenal usually limp to 2nd spot in their group then get whacked in the last 16.

To be fair I dont think you can really have a go at Arsenal's record in the Champions league. Tottenham haven't faced an a-list side in the knockout phase of the competition. In fact actually the last time you did Real Madrid battered you if I remember rightly granted it was a few years ago. When your coming up against the likes of Bayern, Barcelona and Real and giving them a good game over two legs then you can crow. Same goes for Liverpool its all very well beating the likes of Porto lets see how they do against the best.

Never said they werent any good but they are not in that top bracket of teams.

Why have they done better than Bayern and Barca in the CL in recent years then?

dont normally help spurs, but...didnt they beat madrid and finish top of their group with dortmund as well in there? and also havent they just come away from Juve witha draw?

btw,,,in case u havent noticed we beat City at Anfield, are they also not top bracket?

He’s just hitting out because he’s upset. Don’t worry buddy things will look up in 12/18 months when Wenger hands the keys back for the club

Look at the table from bottom up. The points make a grim reading from 18th to 6th. Hardly a big gap.

Surely something will change at Arsenal this summer? Either Wenger will walk or he will spend a fortune to revamp the squad.

I don't believe for 1 second Wenger or the board will allow this decline to continue.

It’s well known that the biggest teams (Madrid, Barca, Munich) don’t tend to turn up for the champs league until the knockout stages. Even Arsenal topped their difficult group last season.

Juve have been in 2 of the last 4 finals, Madrid have won 3 of the past 4 comps. What have Bayern done in the comp recently other than completely Bum Arsenal.

Spurs and Lpool can only beat what's in front of them.

In an ideal world, Wenger leaves at the end of the season and wins the Europa League.

as a Liverpool fan, I know what it's like to see a manager at the club who doesn't seem to have any idea of how to improve the standard of play (hodgeson) and which the fans were desperate to see replaced, even mid season.

having said that, I don't see any point replacing wenger now, it's too late to save your season, and you'd end up rushing into appointing a replacement.

the best option would be to agree a termination with wenger, and publicly announce now, that he will leave 'by mutual consent' at the end of the season. gives you time to make a considered decision on a replacement, with far more, better qualified managers available for the position then.
they can still agree to join the club now and give you their list of transfer targets before the end of the season.
much better than sacking wenger now, rushing to appoint one of the few managers available now, and then finding out if you'd been prepared to put up with a couple more months of this you could have got a top class manager.
