Don't worry Stoopo - everything smelling of roses except where LS11 is concerned!

Not just the playing side but my bigger worry is the finances. There is a high chance that the wage budget and contract situation will put a stranglehold on the future. It isn't just 3-4 yr deals. Ideguchi and De Bock were given 4.5yrs !!!!!!
Just who is going to pay us money and agree personal terms with the likes of okane Wiedwald Anita Dallas cibicki Klich Murphy. Antonsson etc. If we want rid of any player it's going to cost us a fortune and we don't have a £15m player like Wood to sell.
There are no signs yet of any progress from the u23s and so just how are the club going to finance transfers in the close season.
Trouble for years......it would seem so.
Didn’t he do something similar at boro though?
It dosent seem to have affected them too badly long term.
Still think he needs to go at the end of the season, he ain’t director of transfers he is director of football.
And the footballing side of things has taken a major step backwards under his stewardship.
Wages, even with the £7m increase are just about 70-75% of income. We were running at much less than that and fair play to the board for seeing that we can’t expect promotion spending the lowest income to wages ratio in the league.
We all complained when players were allowed to leave on the cheap due to short term contracts. However there has to be a balance and I agree some of the contracts seem excessive for some of the players (based on results at least).
Is it just Orta though? Sure,y the whole board has input in contracts and wages?

Complained when kids with futures contracts were left to run down. Nobody was worried that Danny Pughs contract was running down in the same way there would be relief should a player like OKane be out of contract and we can get him off the wage bill.
Plenty of the players that we want gone will be snapped up by other championship clubs, League One clubs, or foreign clubs.
Not at the wages we are paying them
If they do go it will cost us - have to agree with Matty here

Yet people say we could sell Saiz for 12+ mill...
Rather than looking at Stoopo figures, let’s look at facts.
In 2017 accounts revenue was 30.1m wages were 18.1 mill
AR has said wages are up 7 mill but we do know what turnover is so any wage to turnover figures quoted by Stoopo are as reliable as his predictions of whether owners really have cash or not...
2017 accounts haven't been released yet, if we're going to be pedantic dikheds about this.
Fantasy Lubo. No team in champ is going to pay for O'Kane and plenty more and pick up their wages.
2017 accounts will be out within next 2-3 weeks.
The 2018 accounts will reflect significantly higher revenue from attendance and television rights, and likely solid increases from merchandise and catering, to cover the additional payroll, I expect.
The nine month lag, especially with the change in ownership, makes the most recent accounts soon to be available almost meaningless.
I didn’t say they had sol, maybe a comma would help if you want to be so pedantic.

I don’t believe 2017 accounts are out yet.
The amounts you quoted were from 2916’s accounts.
