What we need is someone who can marshal the middle of the park in front of the back-four, (easier said than done). Someone with natural ball control who doesn't panic when closed-down and immediately put pressure on either himself or whoever he attempts to pass it to.
We are shocking in this area and look worse than any team we have played, (when I have seen the game at least).
Filling this position is almost impossible in today's game when great players from the top division either retire on their millions or earn even more in the MLS.

Not wishing to be picky. But if every team we have played has someone better than us in this area - then there must be some prospects?
We’re good I reckon, lose the ball, keep shape and counter. It’s our strength this season and our best formula with what we have IMHO

He's the best we have, but he's no Dave Mackay
Apart for a couple of counter attacking forays in the first half, we were too reliant on the long high ball up to Nuge. Unfortunately he's not the sort of player who can hold it up. If we're going to use that tactic we'd be better off with CM.
Much better 2nd half, although the goal came from a free kick, won by Nuge in true Chrissy style.
Palmer was unlucky too, got a shot-off with a defender all over him.
I know we're not supposed to criticise Palmer, but I was a bit disappointed by his ability to hang on to the ball when we were under pressure and his strength in the tackle.
Well I was delighted. It was bloody freezing. We were back to being a decently-drilled team and though none were outstanding all did well enough. Had we beencoming into the game in a run of form we would probably have finished them off more clinically.
Well it's all about the masters this week.
Got a nice horse double up yesterday to supplement my bets.
Laid and ready to rumble.

No chance: Speith for the win.
Magnificent from Poults under that pressure btw.

Did occur that for you say "finish them off more clinically" was perhaps unfortunate?

On the nose with Phil and Hendrik.
E/w, Casey, Hendley and Cabrera Bello.
Can’t see Sean Dyche letting Hendricks play, Igor.
Heb, sorry, should have said:”Put them out of their misery”.

Hossler was a big lad alright.
Stenson a good shout. I played at Birkdale the week before last.
I observed where Speith hit his ball. He was a hundred yards off line, it was astonishing.
Just checked had Kuchar e/w as well.
Should get a run for my money with those selections.
If you bet on everybody Igor, you ought to have a chance.
