We only need to win 3 league games out of 6 to qualify but we could sacrifice trying to finish 2nd or 3rd.
We have the momentum and whoever we play will still beat Everton.
GK - Karius
RB - Clyne
CB - Lovren
CD - Klaven (VVD if Klavan not fit)
LB - Moreno
CM - Hendo
CM - Wij
CM - Can (if fit)
RW - Mane
CF - Ings
LW - Ox
Everton could be beaten with a B side, they are an awful side.
Take no risks, swap out everyone you need to rest and still win.
Agree Ronald they are brutal this year but it's a derby and they really are due a win, still hope we sneak out with a 0-1 win having rested a few players.
The Everton fans aren't happy with Big Sam, and rightly so, he got the safe (although I think plenty of managers coudl have done the same).
He's not the man for Everton, for their sake I hope he goes in the summer, for my own sake I hope he stays forever
Would you be happy with (hypothetically) 4th and a CL semi's?

It's progress.
Still dreaming of a CL win but its only Barca, Real or Bayern next round
Good progress as well, I would have taken it at the start of the season as a Spurs fan.
Now I want (and expect) 2nd and FA Cup win. Would probably expect 3rd and FA Cup final.
wouldnt play Can, you need him to be 100% with Henderson being out in the second leg.

Yep I agree with this. Wouldn't play Can, Salah and possibly not Bobby either. Id love to rest VVD but we have no other fit CB's!
To be fair to Sam, he's been given a job with pretty much the whole squad in disarray. The stalwarts of the side are all aging and going downhill such as Baines, Jagielka, Williams even Coleman doesn't look half the player he did before. Massively overstocked in No.10 position. Keane has been a huge let down too.
Would have been a fantastic achievement to keep them up and start playing well, he deserves credit for keeping them safe but probably best for Everton to move him on
Strange to think after the outlay last season they look worse than they did going into last summer
A new defence, replace Schneiderlin with an actual good footballer, some wide options plus a striker on the to do list for whoever comes in.
Easy
It should be something along the lines of
Karius
Clyne (if fit)
Lovren
VVD
Moreno
Henderson
Wijnaldum
Ox
Mane
Firmino
Ings/Solanke/Woodburn (nice wild card)
Ox, Mane & Firmino to come off early.

Firmino is a bit of a machine but I would love Ings to get a run.
Agree with your teams above mostly, Hendo has to play.

Happy is probably a bit strong but I’d be satisfied with a decent season and the team progressing. Weak showing in the FA cup is still a disappointment to me if honest.
I would leave out as many as I could.
Ward (why not? Give the lad a chance and give Karius a mental break)
Clyne
Lovren
Klavan (if not fit then play the lad Masterson, we can’t risk VVD)
Moreno
Hendo
Wij
Jones (Curtis, wonderkid of the U18’s)
Ings
Firmino
Solanke
Firmino starts because he came off early. If Woodburn was fit I would start him but I think he’s injured.
Everton are rubbish and City is massively the priority. If we get beat then we get beat. It’s not like they do it very often.
Salah to be too injured for Everton but fit for City.

Liverpool need 12 points for mathematic certainty of 4th place. Chelsea have a game in hand. 11 should be enough when goal difference is factored in.
IF, IF we get past city on Tuesday then we are just 270 minutes of successful football away from being champions of Europe.
Too early to be getting overly excited but close enough to start dreaming.
if ARSEnal win the Europa League don't they get the Champion's League spot and who ever gets 4th miss out ?
Team for Everton:

No, United won it last year and there were 5 in the CL.

No. 5 teams can enter the CL from any country now, a rule that was changed after Spurs missed out.
*IF* Chelsea and Arsenal finished 5th/6th and won CL/EL. Then 4th place would miss out.

Clyne... Lovren... VVD... Moreno

I know it's playing a couple of players slightly out of position but it's workable and would stop any of our big hitters being put at risk in what is generally a tough physical match.
If Klavan is even 90% fit i'd put him in for Lovren
