and from Burton's point of view, they have to take one more point against PNE than Barnsley get from us.
Sadly PNE will be giving it 100% because they still have a chance of overtaking us.

I think Griff would prefer Burton to be relegated and us miss-out on play-offs?
Scouse... I don't believe this playing deep is a deliberate choice... I think its just that the midfield and attacking parts of the team don't have the combination of quality and stamina needed to consistently relieve the pressure off our back four throughout the 90 minutes.

Our back four are \/\/ank though
So a tasty one next week. Barnsley will need to win which will play right into our hands.
We’ll be fine.
GR being interviewed by RD says in the match against Cardiff we sprinted over three times the distance in a normal match, and after ten minutes he could see we didn't have the energy to take the game to Villa
We conceded 50 goals last season, currently on 47, so basically the defense is still 5hit.

If they had to have put that running into more games of the season, energy would not be a problem.
I’d even go back to the 4 2 3 1 to take advantage of the counterattacking opportunities we’ll get

That is a disgrace for a professional team to be fair, it's four days ago.
At least we won't be trying to do the double next week Ang
You seem a bit down Scouse.
Two games ago we were dead and buried. Now we have a home game where a draw or a win will do.
Igor... too true. The effort we made against Cardiff should be the normal expectation, not an exceptional thing that gives you an excuse to be "tired" for 90 minutes four days later
If Millwall beat Boro, and then they both win next week we will need more than a draw.

Should be home and dry by now though Rameses.
I'm not down, I can moan for England (I haven't lived in Liverpool for 20 years for nothing you know).
I need another drink

Owd Scouse likes a good moan, post-game.
Take a trip to Aldi, mate
No need Ang, gone up-market this weekend and got the vino from M&S
Indeed Spart. We’ll see where we are in a couple of hours.
Scouse
The average team in this league has conceded 57 goals so far... and as it stands we have the eighth lowest goals conceded total - so your criticism seems a little exaggerated.
Question is will us needing only a draw be worse than if we need to go for a win. These footballer types are more fragile that thoroughbred race horses.
Scouse... that all depends on GR. In theory it shouldn't make a difference... unless he actually sends the team out to get a draw... in which case I could see us losing it and Preston slipping past us at the last moment.

Wom, we have scored 12 more goals than last season (with a game to go), so a noticeable improvement to last season (19% better).
Our GA is only 6% better (47 v's 50)
Think most important thing next weekend is what needs to happen for Fulham to overtake Cardiff.
We need to be up for the game and put-on a performance like the last 45 last Tuesday, job done.
