Permutations on final day

I think its going to be you guys unfortunately. Losing to Burton has probably cost you. They have a more favourable game against Preston id say. I want Burton to survive and id rather you guys stay up than Barnsley tbh.

We have to win - end of. A draw is no use because Barnsley will not lose 15-0.

Don't completely dismiss this outcome

No less likely than us winning 15-0 and overtaking Reading I suppose

I'm just glad its the last game of the season I've had enough of this one.
I'll be gob smacked if a miracle happens and we survive.

Well if Barnsley perform like they have in their last few away games we will certainly lose by a big margin.

Preston are no mugs and still have a chance of the play-offs, so they will certainly have a good chance of beating Burton. Having said that Burton have put in some tidy performances away from home this season.

Forget about it lads. I have. We're down. No coming back from this. Totally blown it.

Forest weren’t particularly decisive last Saturday against Brizzle.

Interestingly, Bolton have refused Forest an extra allocation of tickets after the first 2,300 sold out (even at an eye-watering £35 a pop) . Expecting a big crowd?

Possibly not. Maybe Ken's trying to keep the noise down in the away end.

I have to say the fat lady hasn't sung yet but she is clearing her throat ready to go through the scales.

Looks like Ken just selling tickets for the Upper tier and not lower to prevent a situation like wolves.

PP was looking for inspiration for our final game. The last time he was seen was in the bogs. I wonder what he's looking for there.

The under 23's are in the final against Forest at Forest. Shouldn't it be played on a neutral ground? It seems to me to be advantage Forest!

On that last comment, I forgot we aren't talking about the first team. Maybe the youngsters will show the first team how it's done.

If we are relegated, maybe they will be the first team. Ken's looking to cut wages again as he says relegation will cost £7 million.

I'm waiting for his Mike Bassett speech. Ladies and gentlemen. Bolton will be playing four four fxxxing two!

What went on against Wolves? Forest are hardly going to invade the pitch to celebrate a 16/17th place finish!

As it stands forest have the upper tier of the away end as has been the case for away fans all season. For games like Leeds, villa, Birmingham, wolves the bottom tier has been sold out too. Don't know the reason why the bottom tier hasn't been sold. May be stewarding/policing costs, maybe ken reckons he can fill that section with Bolton fans possible as happened in the last game of last season v Peterborough but unlikely as no discounts and fans unhappy. My neighbour was moaning got tickets but not going as better things to do. The burton game finished a lot of us off including me. Possible ken does not want fans in the away end lower tier so as not to give forest an advantage in support as such a big game. In a nut shell I don't know and not heard an official reason.

It's start the build up day in the local comic.
As its Thursday don't forget while out shopping to pick up a fresh PP7 battery for the portable transistor wireless set so you will be all set at the ground to hear and report goals from the other games.

The suggestion seems to be Bolton don’t want to pay for extra stewards and police. Forest wouldn’t sell out the entire lower tier as well at £35 a shot so it’s a no win situation.

It’s a shame when some owners are too scroogelike to see that a fuller ground creates an atmosphere that is likely to inspire both teams. Forest’s new owners have realised this and have lowered prices dramatically and have been rewarded by the highest average attendances in over a decade. I know Bolton have their financial difficulties but I would have thought it would make sense to have the Reebok as dull as possible for a game with so much riding on it.

Sorry, as full as possible! I hope it isn’t dull as it is an early start for me and the lad to get up the M6 for the early kick off.

It’s a defeatist option as surely a fuller away end that is creating a decent atmosphere inspires the home supporters to respond in kind?

It was just a thought nothing positive about it.

Regarding Preston, I think they will win they have been playing well lately. On the other hand, we have been rubbish so I can't say that I fancy our chances against Forest. Also, we have a pretty inept Manager to boot. He doesn't know what his best team is and tactically, he's totally useless.

Ken will be down on his knees praying we stay up as he hopes to attract new money into the club. Being relegated won't help his chances of making any money out of the sale of all or some of his shares. Personally, I think he's done a reasonable job of sorting the finances but I would like him to go because I don't believe he has the money to move us to the next level.

I'm away for a four-day break in the lakes from today Friday. Ten of our close family are having an early celebration for my 70th, birthday, which will be later this month.

Me and the missus are away early Wednesday morning. We have a ferry to board from Portsmouth to Bilbao at 11:15 am. Docking around 12:45 Thursday and then a seven-hour drive back home. Might just be back to catch Corrie on the box.

I will be trying to keep an eye on what's happening at the Macron on Sunday. Everything crossed for the right result.

All eyes on the U23's for some good news tonight and don't forget the club shop sale is on.

Yes, Round One at the CG tonight. Forest U23’s weren’t expected to make the play offs but managed to scrape in at the last minute. I suspect it will be a far more open and entertaining game than Sunday...

posted on 4/5/18

Arvin Appiah will be missed tonight I think. He has become a bit of a talisman for the youngsters.

Still fingers crossed. They seamed to take a bit of a dip in form when Jack Lester departed but they have got their mojo back in the last few games.

Connor Hall missing for the Whites tonight there is still plenty of goals in there without the top scorer.
Lets hope Ken has no thoughts of playing him on Sunday that's not the game to be considering him for.
