Joker is just stupid and doesnt fit in with the world its supposed to be a part of. it was a decent film on its own. It was a poorer blatant rip off from of the King of Comedy and a terrible DC film IMO.

I think it being an elseworld project gives it the freedom to be whatever they want from a creative standpoint.

It wasn't a 1 billion movie though

I think it is a musical but the director does not want to turn fans off, so he's not calling it one.

I could also say music is an essential part to Grease.

it was still a $hite version of King of Comedy a blatant rip off

I thought the Joker 1 was a good one time viewing experience. It certainly felt like an elseworld story, however, the movie is dark and depressing and it's not a movie I'd have an interest in rewatching.

and I refuse to believe that Batman would have even bother getting out of bed for that version of joker !
