Cinema no longer has the appeal it once did. Home theaters, streaming and the cost of going to the cinema have all contributed to its downturn. The bigger franchises will still do fairly well but even they will have been impacted.

I still visit the cinema but only for franchises or movies I have an interest in. That's usually 4-5 trips a year. Personally, I wouldn't pay to watch any of those movies on the BORE round 2 list, aside from Kingdom.

And there’s another incoming dilemma methinks.,. With Deadpool 3. If this does big business, the greedy eyes won’t help themselves, and suddenly there will be 20 films slated coming out in a year…. No lessons learned.

That’s understandable, you gotta be a real die hard movie goer, but they still putting out pap.
As for the movies listed, I’ve tried to mix it up, so mans has to really think aboot it, rather than going for films that have big budgets and a good pr machine behind it.

I'm not sure if Deadpool 3 will reach the 1b mark but I think the lowest it will make is 500m.

It's bound to have a huge opening weekend hopefully the quality is there to sustain it. I am also not sure if it'll make the 1bn.

The younger generations have a shorter attention span, so going to the cinema and sitting down to watch a 2 hour movie is a futile endevour.

I certainly think the opening weekend will deliver but the quality will be key. If it gets terrible reviews, things will get bad for Disney.

If they fook up a deadpool movie with Ryan and Hugh returning they may as well pack it in and let Superb do the MCU director's cut.

Apes together strong

I’m actually surprised its doing so well…but I guess if you put out quality, the market will respond. I haven’t seen it yet but judging by the response, it looks like it’s worth viewing in the cinema.

That list of movies is very underwhelming though. Never bought into the Mad Max hype either…Garfield is probably the next best thing there

Why are you surprised by Kingdom's success? It's a sequel movie to one of the best trilogies of all time and a franchise that has always drawn interest.

I agree with the rest. Underwhelming films that are not worth a trip to the cinema for. I liked Mad Max but I don't need to see a movie about one of the side characters. Garfield will do well, purely because of the kids. Abigail is an obscure horror movie, which itself is a dying genre.
