Just back from taking my lad to the cinema for the new Captain A film.

I wanted to like it and hoped it would be better than alot of the negative reviews I've heard but unfortunately it wasn't very good.

I've seen worse Marvel films but I've never seen a more boring one.

They need to make the film of Steve Rogers returning the stones and hooking up with Peggy rather than continuing to flog this dead horse.

Stringer you sound a bit excited, more than usual, about this Captain America movie. I am contemplating going to watch it or waiting for streaming, so hand on heart, what are your thoughts on it? Don't try to please the pessimists with your opinion.

Should I wait for streaming or watch it at big screen?

Ah man…. I’d say wait for Streaming…
I don’t know where you stand with the whole MCU thing.
If you’re a bit tired of it, then this won’t get you excited.

But it’s defo not the worst MCU film… like if it was on TV, you won’t switch it off in anger, you’ll watch it. It’s watchable.
I think subconsciously I went to see this, cos Ford has been a favourite actor of mine, and I’m thinking these will probably be close to his last big screen outing, so that’s why I went to see it, not cos of the MCU.

But Mackie and Ford are good in their roles…

Despite Captain America: Brave New World receiving mixed reviews — currently holding a 50% score on Rotten Tomatoes and a B- on CinemaScore, coupled with unfavorable word-of-mouth — its box office performance has proven surprisingly strong.

Think I'll go watch this later in the week. Looks like people have cottoned on to the fact that some good movies just won't get good reviews for some reason.

I mean, without getting into spoilers, there are issues to be discussed, but maybe you guys will clear some of that up… but I certainly wasn’t vex.

Oh right, apparently there is a post credit scene that I didn’t stay for, cos it’s after the end credits, and I said, nah fam, I’m missing,
But I heard it’s nothing special anyway

Italian Spider-Man.

I rarely see Winter Soldier or Civil War spoken badly of

Same with Infinity War

Id say they are the ones that are universally well regarded

Theres a lot of nostalgia for the first Avengers but i dont think as much of it watching it back now

Yep. All quality. What happened man

GotG 2 isnt on the same level as those 3 but id throw it in for good word of mouth generally

Theres something to be said that people have higher expectations of the Cap series

Agree with this too. I rarely go back and watch it when I'm doing a Marvel watch sesh

the first Black Panther is on the 2nd rung of the best ones too probably. Id prefer if Michael B Jordan's Kilmonger was still about

It sucks cause they had a great lead and villain from that, chose to kill the villain and then Chadwick passed
