I really thought Loki had enchanted Sylvie at some stage of the episode, most likely when she fell asleep on the train and woke up in a different seat. But if that was the case then we should have got that reveal in the same episode.
The big reveal about TVA being variants explains why that TVA girl that Sylvie enchanted was having a panic attack when she was rescued, saying it was real. She remembers the life she had before the TVA. I’m guessing Loki and Sylvie will be captured on Lamentis by the TVA and Loki will try convince Mobius that he is a variant but with no magic in the TVA it will be hard to prove.
Also one thing that really annoys me is how inconsistent Marvel are with Loki’s strength. Like the guy is a literal god with crazy powers but all it took to throw him off the train was 2 lackeys and even then he could have used his telekinesis to stop the train afterwards but just did nothing.
Also doubt (and hope) Loki and Sylvie don’t get together. She already said she has a bit on the side. Probably a character or variant of a character we already know. Hope it’s something bizarre like Jane Foster or Nick Fury
That's the most annoying thing about that episode for me, the continual shifting of Lokis power scaling. Let's not forget, this is a Loki who just got beat by the Avengers, a movie which sees him take on Thor head to head, fight Cap head to head and destroy quite a bit of NYC. I do not expect him to be struggling with security guards on a train.
Yeah with MCU we should just avoid power scaling arguments
Its really not a strong point

See I can just about take that because Thor is OP and Thanos is Thanos but getting merked by nameless security guards is ridiculous.
I hope the theory that this episode was a 'dream', or an enchantment or something, is correct. Wouldn't make the episode any more watchable but at least it might make sense in the grand scheme of things.
In Avengers though he was a continuous punchline despite being the main villain. Coulson merks him, he can't make the mind stone work on Tony Stark, he looks all smug catching Hawkeye's arrow before it blows up in his face and then Hulk smashes him round like a child with a doll. Other than the opening scene, he's made into a joke throughout the rest of the film.
Lets try posting this on the right thread
I didnt dislike the episode tbh, It cant really be declared filler or a waste etc untill we see the outcome in the next episode.
Surprised to see such dislike of it tbh. I agree the power scaling was stupid though, hes a god ffs
should human punches really even hurt him considering he was only shaken by hulk smashing him about, no visible damage to him

Are they humans?
They look humanlike, but so do Asgardians.

Aside from faking his own death in Dark World - the one time he actually outwitted Thor - he is a total joke throughout the whole MCU tbh.
Ragnarok is just him being clowned for 2 hours.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ragnarok was basically them saying that everything Loki had done was childs play because his older sister is far stronger and nefarious.
Aside from the power scaling of both Loki and Sylvie, I thought the episode spent too much time going nowhere. There was some character development but I think it could have been done in a more concise way, as opposed to having to watch them do the whole "we'll join forces for now" bit.
