I thought the trailer was ok and seeing Carnage is satisfying but the cgi doesn't look clean and it seems like all the scenes are at night, which usually means they are trying to hide the bad cgi.

Hopefully the release of this trailer means Sony will bow release the S3 one.

Yeah it’s the whole problem with the Sony timeline.

Sony are just doing what they want with Venom. I think they are trying to make him and Hardy a comedic duo, which brings in more fans.

Can we just prune the Sony timeline and move on?

Not sure if this is true but i thought the whole reason Venom looks like Spidey in design is because it was Spidey who the symbiote attached to first and it kept the physical imprint when it jumped to Brock

In the Sony timeline it looks like big spidey in black because coincidence i guess

they saw him on tv.. probably

I liked venom, from what I recall (seen it once) and the trailer for venom 2 looks decent.

It's easy enough to have Spidey and venom fighting each other, slights can often get out of hand, especially when Egos are involved. It won't be hard to do imo.

Because James Gunn knows you exist and that means you can take it

Venom wasn't bad...it just wasn't amazing either.

Also the symbiote is always attracted to Peter more because he's stronger. That can still be written into the inevitable Spiderman vs Venom storyline in whichever universe they choose.
