Lots to discuss, but I won't until you've all watched it. Very very excited though

Looks pretty good to me.

I dont like watching trailers for movies which I'm sure I'll watch no matter what though. I use trailers to determine whether some movie is worth watching.

It looks great but I still can't shake that it's basically a live action Into the Spiderverse.

And the greatest live action Spiderman villain is back

At least i thought i saw Sandman hinted in that anyway

It's a nice trailer. Shows the villians coming back but doesn't really give everything away.

That shot of him falling into that dimension portal is taken directly from Into the Spiderverse.

Just watched the trailer and I'll start with saying it's a good trailer. The best moments for me, were the goblin bomb and seeing Dr Octopus back on live action.

However, I expected to see all 3 spidermen but they decided to hold that back, which has left me disappointed. Maybe by expectations were too high. There are some other issues I have with what was shown in the trailer. The multiverse being thrown into chaos was simply because Dr Strange decided to do a spell to help Spiderman, which went wrong because Spiderman was talking too much during it?!!!! Not only is this inconsistent with what Strange has done before but it also makes him come across as careless and extremely reckless. The logic doesn't make sense to me. So he decided to hold back throughout IF and Endgame because he only saw one possibility of winning but Spiderman comes to him and asks him to wipe everyones memory and he has no compunction about doing it?!!! Note, I am well aware that we need more context but I can only react to what I have seen on the trailer and thus far, it doesn't make sense to me.

I've said it before, I am not a big fan of Tom Hollands Spiderman and if this movie did not have Toby or the other villains, my excitement levels would not be very high.

Into the Spiderverse made more sense to me.

Also, I hope they don't try and cram in the sinister 6 into this movie. Just because you have potentially 6 spiderman villains in one movie does not make them the sinister 6.

Yo! What?! I'm with Guv.. So after the events in Endgame, Where Strange was the smart one, he now decides to wipe everyone's memory!
As if these people haven't gone through enough cos of the blip!
So why, after the spell, can't Peter just go up to his friends and Aunt May, and tell them he's bloody Spiderman?!.
And how does this tie in with Loki?
what are the chances both created the Multiverse at the same time!!?!
but context is everything, obviously going to see it. But this is concerning.....

The multiverse question is another issue I have. Who started it, Loki, Wanda, Strange? I assume it's Loki because they actually get into specifics and Kang gets introduced but how does Wanda and Strange tie in? That will surely have to be explained.

This is why Holland will never be a great Spiderman for me. Anytime we have seen him in difficult situations, he's either had Iron Man to help, Happy coming to rescue him and now Strange trying to fix his problems for him. Toby lost his uncle, saw the woman he loved break up with him and get with his best friend, had to save the city from his best friends dad, who he later killed and was trying to make a living and study at the same time. He didn't have anyone to fix his problems, he dealt with them in the same way most people do, by picking himself up after every tragedy and going through the pain and suffering.

Pretty sure the events of Endgame opened up the multiverse.

Agree with everything else you're saying though. Marvel making it up as he goes along now.

Reminds me of s6-s8 of GoT...just doing things for the wow factor...no thought for the story or characters.

I assumed that Loki started the multiverse, and Strange, etc will be traversing it. His spell would have accidentally caused some kind of rift in the multiverse rather than actually starting it.

I'm not against them bringing in other characters and doing fan service but it has to be done right and in a logical (well as much as possible) manner.

Once this movie comes out, I think there is a significant chance that Tom Holland gets outshined once more and is a cursory character in his trilogy.

It's certainly plausible but I guess time will tell. This movie alone should provide some explanation, I just hope it's a satisfying one.

So I thought the whole idea of exploring Spidey with his identity known is interesting, but will be footnote before a reset anyway.

I also thought Strange's behaviour was out of character, but it's a Marvel trailer so I'm not going to rule out misdirection as with Feige having final say he usually seems to understand the characters pretty well.

Didn't expect to see the 3 Spideys, but seeing the hints for Lizard, Sandman, Electro, seeing the pumpkin bomb and Doc Oc himself was very exciting.

Also saw a lot of people debating on what Charlie Cox's chin looks like and how hairy his forearms arm based on the person in at around 27 seconds

finally seen the trailer, best part will be all the rami spiderman stuff, atleast thats what im looking forward to

I can't remember the exact time but around that time someone slams something down on the desk and people are speculating that it's Daredevil.

Those that believe it is are having their opinion reinforced by the fact that there were pics of Peter in the mob where they'd drawn the devil horns on his face

posted on 24/8/21

I don't think that's Charlie Cox, just a random cop. Saw some people analysing it earlier.
