Why would somebody be offside if they were on when a team mate played it but off when it deflected off an opposition player? That’d contradict everything the offside rule is about.

Melton has already explained the use of the word “or” and the context in which it is to be understood.

You are understanding it wrong Toor.

I don't think I am and neither didn't the assistant so I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

There isn’t anything to disagree about, you’re just wrong as it is a factual point.

I’m erring on this being a wum though as I don’t think anyone can be this stupid, particularly to not even be able to read properly. I don’t think there can be a football fan with this low a level of understanding of offside either.

Perhaps I'm wrong. If I am I think the rule should be changed. The attacker should not gain an advantage by being in an offside position.

This reminds me of the “our version of aggressive intimidation is okay whereas their version of aggressive intimidation isn’t okay” debate.

Does it? Is that the time when some Man City fans, including the worst in LQ decided that throwing some things at a bus was comparable with putting a man in a coma and stabbings in Rome would be karma?

Man City logic at its finest.

Lying again toor, so sad to see the lengths you will go too.

I mentioned your fans reputation in Europe and added that the bus incident was the latest in a very long line of violent behaviour in Europe.

One incident of many it’s just that one was the latest.

I also mentioned the poor barman who ended up in a coma after istambul.

That was a more accurate example.

You are lying and twisting things to suit your agenda.

I've just thought of the scenario and replaced the opponent with the post and I would definitely consider it onside if it came off the post. So yes, I'm wrong.

No value in Chelsea at those odds with them being in the Europa league. Not unless they recall some of those 48 players on loan.
