Another has been CB, one who wasn't very good in his prime.

What's Wes Brown up to these days?

History repeating itself once more...

Even if Skrtel was 65 years he would still be the best defender in your league. He will play against fishermen and farmers.

As PB says - that is rubbish.

In recent years, we've had the likes of Kolo Toure, Joey Barton and Freddie Ljungberg come up to Scotland to "tear it up" and they have all been found wanting. Do you even watch our game? For all its hype and obscene amounts of money, I've seen many a bad EPL game this season.

An utter tiiit of a being with no concept of independent thought.

Even at 33, Skrtel would absolutely stroll through most games in your league.
Would be a great buy for Rangers.

Excellent.

Obviously another Celtic supporter.

Sorry boys, but the overall quality of Scottish football is dire to say the least.
Do I watch your game, well not if theres an alternative.
Which is probably why your TV rights is the lowest in Europe.
Also, its ridiculous comparing Toure to Martin Skrtel.
Wasn't Toure something like 36, and hadnt played much football in two years, when he moved to Celtic ?
Skrtel could sign for one of the lesser lights in the premier league, no problem, so youd have to think a club playing in your league would be lucky to have him.

Toure turned 35 in March 2016 and joined Celtic 4 months later. The previous season he had played 26 times for Liverpool including starting in the Europa League Final.

Skrtel will be 34 in December and, coincidentally, played 26 matches last season.

It is therefore clearly NOT ridiculous to make comparisons between Toure and Skrtel

You are entitled to your low opinion of Scottish Football (although it is clear, by your own post, that you don't watch much, if any, of our games) However please get your facts right before coming on here ridiculing posts from those fans who watch it week in, week out
