Cant see it but would massively improve our midfield. Surely this would only remotely happen if we shifted someone like Dorrans first?

Strong rumours that Murphy will be made/announced officially today!

Would prefer to see younger guys coming in but Arfield and McGregor both improve our squad.

Would bite your hand off for Defoe for a season though because he would guarantee goals.

We've got to allow Gerrard to build HIS team, this might mean selling Tavernier, Windass,Foderinham and Morelos to fund the plan....but he needs to be allowed to go for it. Defoe would be a great signing as would Solanke , both are miles better than what we have and along with McGregor and Arfield will improve our team and our chances.

I don't think there will be wholesale changes in the team for next season. I think SG will get about four or five new first team players in and hopefully get rid of a load of the dead wood.

By the end of next season I'd expect to see SG's team pretty much complete.

We all know the areas that need attention and he'll tackle that, CBs and strikers, if true I like the idea of Lucas as he's strong and creative . Does this mean the end for Dorrans ?

Lucas creative? Take it you've never seen him then

Unfair on Dorrans, played out of position and was our stand out until injury.

Came back into a side who's confidence was shot after the 3-2 defeat to Celtic, very harsh imo to label him a flop.

Jury is out for me, had a promising spell and a poor one coinciding with the team having a poor spell.

He plays CM for us, which i think is part of the problem. His best football has come from wide or in a 10 position in his career.

Hopeful with a rejig he could do well
