Get your tickets in the U.K. before you go as you’ll get plenty of annoying companies and bastirts trying to influence you with free tickets and the like. They are all geared to selling properties and time shares and a waste of your time. Get the Fast Pass for Universal and Islands of Adventure. Get anything that helps you avoid the queues which can easily kill your days and nights out.
Don’t buy everyone a meal each and don’t get starters unless you’re a typical fat bear. Every helping is fwcking huge. Go on the best rides at the back of the parks first or leave them until team time when toddlers and partners go home. Otherwise if in the Disney Parks do them when the parades are on.
Get there early before they open and ffs mind where you parked your car. It looks easy when you arrive. It ain’t later.
Do some of the evening things away from the usual parks. Especially themed dinners. Don’t do character breakfasts. Waste of money and time. Don’t stint on money as you’ll want to do everything. Dolphin swims are fantastic with kids. Miss out on Wet n Wild. Horrible concrete dump.
Have fun and don’t moan at the kids. They’ll just be shattered and so will you.

No worries. I’ve been so many times now and I bet next time you’ll do a week doing the parks and then head down to Midnight Cove on the West coast for the next week and have an entirely different but superb and relaxed holiday. 👍

I will be getting a chartered boat to go out to the gulf of Mexico fishing so will have a look at that coast also. Everyone you speak to that goes there pretty much always end up going back.

Try them. Get the sea view apartments if you can but the inter coastal are also superb. We hire out 3 of their apartments for the second week when we take all the kids there. They love it as much as we do and some of the resataurabts and bars are superb. Captain Kurts I think it is. Right off the beach and spend a few hours in there of a blazing hot afternoon after some time in the sea. Sat watching every US sport going and sipping ice cold beers and platters of prawns and crab claws. Simple pleasures. Come home so relaxed and chilled. 👍
Don’t do NFL. Mind bogginly boring. Basketball and ice hockey are the best to watch live.
