To be honest I'd say the slip is funnier.

Another glorious moment in the history of football

Oh that’s not just funny. It’s pure seex that moment.
---------
But still stopped Chelsea winning in the 1st which would have made two winning medals. It is not about players winning it. It is about teams. No one mentions Bale or Ronaldo wining the CL. Real have won it for 13th. So if Karius wins it next time then it is forgotten what he has done. Diffenetly no. His mistakes will live for ever even if we win it next time.

We wouldn't have won in Munich had we won in Moscow.

That's neither here nor there, the fact is Terry got redemption, Gerrard didn't.

Redemption?? It still stopped Chelsea winning in the 1st. It is not about players. It is about teams. As I said Karius mistakes will livevinut the memory for ever even if he and Liverpool win it next time.

But Gerrard’s will still be the funniest.

Definitely the slip. It had everything including the pre match team talk about not slipping.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I forgot about that lol

I think it was during a rallying cry Gerrard gave after they beat City 3-2. Unreal scenes.

Yeah though Liquid Genius isn’t a spurs fan

So why did he post it here? Drumming up support?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

The Arsenal board is fairly dead.

Plus I enjoy the Liverpool-Spurs rivalry.

It would still be there, but it would significantly ease things. Gerrard wouldn't get mocked as badly had he won it the year after or even at some point before, the main narrative with the slip is it cost him his elusive PL medal.

Moscow, Anfield and Barca don't hurt even by 10% as much since Munich, infact a few days after i even rewatched them all for closure.

Slippy VS Sloppy?

It's got to be Slippy G. The irony of him having a team talk the game before saying "this does not slip" brings to another level.

Very strange justification. You are just trying to convince yourself it was fine losing that final. Brazil losing the WC in Brazil in1950 when they only needed a draw still lives so badly in their memories despite wining it after that more than any other countries. You may be satisfied wining CL once. Big teams won't be statisfied.

Educate me, did Brazil play for the draw or what was the scenario?

If they did, shame on them.

Another factor is that Karius is a largely inoffensive character. It’s hard not to feel some sympathy for him.

Whereas Stevie was someone everyone disliked. You couldn’t sympathise with him, only revel in the situation.

If you had to have added that in the OP, little argument.

I feel for Karius.

Gerrard got to lift it but in the most sensational way.

So the slip wins although Agrerooooooooooooooo or the West Ham keeper to deny Ince with the last kick off the game will live in the memory for a giggle.

What about Spurs memorable cup finals this century? Oh wait...

posted on 29/5/18

All at one stage seem to have slipped at the final hurdle apart from Spurs. Never been beyond the QF of CL or close to win anything thing for ages.

posted on 29/5/18

OP the tool posting this on Tottenham board for rivalry between the two clubs. So what that got to do with you. Didn't Mustafi and Koscielny slipped for Griezman to score in the semi.

Gotta be Karius. Gerrard effed up but the title wasn't a given even before the slip, but Karius has ruined his career before it has even begun in arguably the biggest game most - if not all - of his team mates will ever play in.

posted on 30/5/18

the cl title wasn't a given either. take away the howlers and its only 1-1. as for the biggest game he or his team mates will ever play in, i doubt it. he probably won't play such a big game again but his team mates will.
