Yeah I can't see the Solomon Islands troubling the Semi-Finals anytime soon.

Ghana has the done well historically at under 20 levels- just needs to make the progression in the real thing.
The under 17 competition is riddled with age cheats from some African and south America nations.
This set of Nigeria team are not the most talented ever but they have had harmony in the preparations and also a decent German tactician.
Egypt is a one man team..
I see Tunisia making life difficult for their opponents.
England beware!

Tunisia drew with Portugal too and don't seem like mugs tbh. Egypt have Salah obviously and that makes them dangerous. Nigeria have energy and high fitness levels but class and quality usually shine through. Morocco I can't see causing a stir. Best African side like the above said was that ivory Coast side, underachieved I feel.

Africa is the only federation (other than Oceania) to never have a team reach semi finale of world cup.

So not the only federation then.

Nigeria in 94 n 98

the way they imploded in 98 v Denmarc was a real shame although they wudda met Brazil in QF

Has a World Cup winner ever come from anywhere other than Europe/S.America?

My parents country Morocco will be better than many think. They have technically better players than those English headless chicken players. Portugal is an average team.

If Morocco wins the first game against Iran they have a big chance to reache the next round.

Thing is the African sides do well in youth football because they are more powerful athletes than most other nations. When it get further on in football European teams just play them out of it.

They are getting better though more players becoming more prevalent in top sides.

No, it isn't. You clearly don't understand what 'racist' means, along with about 90% of the rest of the population.

You could suggest it's racially stereotyping, which is a completely different thing but in all truth, it's partly correct but even then 'africa' isn't a race.

noun

prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.

Nothing about the comment you replied to insinuated that any race was 'inferior', it simply made reference to people from Africa in general being more physically imposing, particularly at a young age. If you researched it, it probably isn't far from the truth.

People need to stop crying 'racism' at every little thing. Racism is a horrible thing, it's both cruel and ignorant and people suffer with genuine instances of racism. The fact it gets banded about so much now, almost desensitises people to it.

I see the racism card played almost daily, in completely the wrong context and it's irritating. The amount of people who claim they aren't covered by insurance is because of racism etc is pathetic.

Senegal could make the semis if Germany mess up and finish second in their group. They could easily win that group they are in, and could beat England or Belgium on their day. If they avoid Germany/Brazil in the QF then I fancy them against the rest. They will be under rated again though I'm sure

to be fair Ghana were robbed in 2010 by Uruguay with the handball on the line. if it wasn't for that they would have been in the semifinal.

Cameroon were mugged more than Ghana. Linekers 2 dives denied them their rightful place in the Italia 90 semi final.

i know Senegal have Mane n Koulibaly. what other players do they have at good clubs who will have experience of high level pressure?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ismaila Sarr looks a fantastic player, young and raw but superb.

True, but unlike a lot of the incidents of that ilk they did have a chance to avenge it with the penalty they subsequently missed.
