With Torreira looking close to completion it probably doesn’t bode well for jack staying. We’re not going to be bending to his demands if we’re making midfield signings. I wouldn’t mind him staying if he’s not demanding huge wages which could stop us strengthening in other areas. There was times last season he was performing as one of our better midfielders, but unfortunately his fitness stopped him again. I’d be interested like with a few of our players who have been poor to see how he gets on under Emery before totally writing them off. But I wouldn’t pull out all the stops to keep him
