Have you read the Harry Bosch books? I have done most of them, Michael Connelly is a master of the genre.

I watched the pilot of Bosch, and although the actor was not like who I had in my mind (no Reacher/Cruise travesty though ) it definitely had the feel of the books

Yeh Michael Connelly is a very good author, like his other books too! And i've read around 7-8 of the Bosch books, must admit i thought it was going to suck a bit like Reacher too but it has actually been a good watch, it's not amazing but just an easy good fun watch and definitely does have the feel of them.

Can't remember the actors name now but i think he suits it very well

Not read those. Do not read a lot these days, I mainly listen to podcasts.

John Connolly is probably my #1. A good mix - crime and enough supernatural without it being overbearing
