Saw this on twitter which made me laugh.

England win tomorrow...... Trump lands in the UK later this week...... He does a press conference ........ and he fecking says it.

He says “It’s Coming Home”.’

Well if he doesn't, there will certainly be videos mocked up that show him doing so.

Croatias midfield controlled the Russia and Denmark games hugely, still needed penalties to get past both. I fancy us more than both those sides to be able to cause them problems, and hold out their strikers too.

Our central midfield worries me.

I find it highly unlikely that Southgate is going to change approach, but our midfield doesn't seem equipped to deal with players of better quality, like Modric.

If we go in with Henderson on his own against France, should we get through tonight, we'll get destroyed.

But does Southgate have the balls to change his line up?

Don’t need to control the midfield. We can bypass it if need be.

However, Henderson, Alli and Lingard have the legs to frustrate Modric and co if it comes to it.

Croatia have a good midfield but it has been exaggerated and built up on a pedestal. They struggled to create chances against Russia, so whilst it will be a tough game we are well capable of winning if we play well.

They have struggled defending set pieces too, so they will be fearful of us.

I find the protagonists' wives attractive, that's why, in case you were wondering.

Anyway, let's have a very manly discussion about the big soccer match!

After the group stages I was really impressed by Croatia. I thought they were the best team of the first three games. But maybe Argentina flattered them. Against Denmark and Russia there wasn't so much quality on show. Modric has had a very long season and two very long games. If we get our tactics right and everyone is very disciplined I'd have us as marginal favourites.

Russia and Denmark were sitting deep in their own half and that is why Croatia struggled.
They ran a riot vs Argentina and Nigeria who left space to run into.
The problem tonight is if England decide to sit back, then Kane will be even more isolated. He has already struggled to score from open play with support so without it will be worse.
The good news though as some already mentioned is that Croatia played 2 X 120 minutes of football. Oh.. and they have Lovren at the back.

Anyway, I wouldn't be against another ET followed by penalties

England have played packed deep defences all tournament too, Lingard, Alli, Sterling have had zero space to run into.

If we play an unchanged team, then I expect us to allow them possession, stay compact and try to hit them on the counter. You could probably argue that the 3-5-2 setup is actually ideal for this, especially with our speedy attackers.
