Will bring a lot of calmness on the ball that many newly promoted sides can lack, which will give players a break if they're under pressure at times. Good signing for them if he can hack the PL.

He's not as effective as he was, but he'd still cost a hell of a lot if he were to leave.

If the rumours that Real want rid are true, then Modric would still fit the bill even at 33.

Dunno if you guys saw it on Sky but word is Kovasic has told Madrid that he wants a move in search of first team football. We can offer CL, Good team, good manager, London, fancy new stadium... They were talking about 60mln EUR (does seem low). If there is any kind of transfer kitty at Spurs I would happily blow it on him. Maybe our friend Modders could talk him into it. Would be very happy with central midfield of him and one of Victor/Dier with Dembele (should he stay) off the bench to rest the old bones !!!

Yeah it’s all fair game. A club will decide how much they’ll sell to clubs on an individual basis. I’d have us sell someone to Bayern or Barca for £15m less just to stop United or Real Madrid having them.

He’s a good signing but I get the feeling wolves fans think they’re walking straight into the PL top 6 next season.

We signed Cambiasso when we got promoted and we were coming up on the back of a similarly successful campaign to wolves in the championship. Yet we were bottom 3 for most of the season, such is the shift change for players when first being promoted or coming from abroad.

It would still be a tall order in your first season. The teams coming up that tend to do well, in the main, are teams that set up to defend, sit deep and hit teams on the break like Burnley.

The step change between the championship and the PL is absolutely huge and i think wolves should focus on safety first before building to top 10 and maybe beyond. You have quality in that side but it will be seriously tested this season, particularly the defence which is usually the undoing of promoted sides

Read today that Spurs have a few deals in the pipeline, but the trouble is they need to offload players before they can confirm any incoming deals.

It's not a case of needing the cash. The issue is that there's such limited space in the squad of 25, and the club don't want to keep unwanted players around but not registered to the squad because then they'd literally be getting paid to do nothing.

So they need to get rid of a few players before bringing others in to avoid that risk. Trouble is, no one wants Sissoko, Llorente, N'Koudou etc

To be fair, not having 3 non-EU non-youth goalkeepers is a pretty major cockup in the first place... oh well
