I would have taken him at Spurs. Half decent even at that age and has plenty of big game and trophy winning experience.

Read today that Spurs have a few deals in the pipeline, but the trouble is they need to offload players before they can confirm any incoming deals.
It's not a case of needing the cash. The issue is that there's such limited space in the squad of 25, and the club don't want to keep unwanted players around but not registered to the squad because then they'd literally be getting paid to do nothing.
So they need to get rid of a few players before bringing others in to avoid that risk. Trouble is, no one wants Sissoko, Llorente, N'Koudou etc
----------------------------------------------------------------------
so where does that leave us ???. Time is ticking !!! who in their right mind would take any of those 3 ???

Cambiasso was 34 when he first came to the prem, he was amazing
I'd rather spend 5mln on Moutinho than 50mln on Richarlison
I don't understand why they are only buying him for 5 minutes !!!!!! Surely he can't be that knackered to last say, half an hour. What's the fee by the way.
Another foreign player, over the hill, that thinks he can make a few bob out of the Prem, whilst keeping a young English player out of the squad no doubt.

This is another area that Levy and the club are shocking at. Just accept that they’re duds and get rid. It’s obviously the asking prices that are the issues as opposed to their wage demands considering what we pay our players.

Nah it's all good, everyone has an opinion
Barring the top six I don't think there's too much to fear from the rest
It is not that easy to "offload" players as some suggest.
Of course you can almost give them away, which is not particularly clever economically.
They have also to be wanted by someone else and we are not privy to that information.
It is no good us signing more foreign players until we can sell others, as we are at or near the limit for non home grown players.
Even Eric Dier is considered a foreign player due to being in a Portuguese academy for years.
We also do not know what players we have enquired about and the responses from respective clubs. Unlike some clubs, Levy refuses to do any business in transfers publicly.
There also legal parameters to consider, if a player does not want to go some where and are under contract, it is very difficult to make them.
The club's only sanction is to not play them and hope they decide to leave because of that.
I am fairly ambivalent regarding this window, we have an excellent first team and people like Moura and Lamela give us additional strength. I do believe we will make at least one significant signing in the next two weeks

Wolves will finish about 16th at best. There is a chasm between the Championship and even halfway up the Prem.

A chasm so insurmountable that all three promoted teams survived last season and one of which finished 10th.
