So his tax fraud conviction means that his opinions on football and his knowledge of Bayern tactics against Arsenal are somehow invalid?
Not sure how that logic follows, but maybe I'm just missing something.

Hoeness specifically mentioned Bayern's tactics against Arsenal.
Pretty cheap shot from Hoeness, who hasn't taken the time to criticise the setup that allows for Ozil's selection for the world cup if he so obviously "sh-t". This is horrible tabloid hack job to distract from the concerns Ozil is trying to highlight with his annoucement today.
Maybe they should’ve questioned how he could’ve watched the matches with the 5 hr difference in time zone from Central Europe to Brazil
Matches would’ve started at 8pm and 2am

I've no idea why you're taking issue with this.
TBH Hoeness is right about Ozil being awful for a while.
But Ozil wasn't the reason for Germany's failure. He needs to look at his own players for that. Kimmich, Muller, Boateng were awful. Far worse than Ozil.
It’s because Özil keeps winning the German poty over Bayern most talented... sour grapes
Also there's Bayern trying to sign Ozil for many years and Ozil telling them to fack off.
He's got some valid points about Ozil but as was stated earlier, they are trying to scapegoat Ozil for Germanys failings at the world cup.

How is that even remotely related?
A real man would have hidden in the bushes outside Özil's gate, and then jumped out and said all of this straight to his face.
These arguments, how does it change the fact that even most of us complain that Ozil should be dropped whenever we are playing any strong oppositions, we all watches these matches, we all see the flaws, very obvious and Wenger never for one moment dropped him even for 10minutes. I love Ozil when we are paying good to be honest cos he spices it up but when it not going well he should never even be in the match day squad not to talk of bench. I am not interested in his German affairs, I am only what to talk about the one that affects Arsenal

Hoeness cant be taken serious. The guy comes now out with a general statement that is obviously going deeper. I asking you why do you think he made this point not earlier? The time he personally attack Özil is strange. Dont you think?

I think you have to take him seriously for a variety of reasons, not least because of his position with Bayern Munich.
He also has inside knowledge of the tactics employed by Bayern against Arsenal to expose the weakness generated by Ozil's poor performances since the last world cup.
He also commented now because it's relevant, his poor performances have came to a head, and because he's evidently a passionate supporter of the German national team and was perhaps annoyed by Ozil's statement (rightly or wrongly).
Also, and perhaps more importantly, because he was asked the question by the journalist and had nothing to lose in answering it as honestly and as abruptly as he did.
