Yes think it’s a good idea
Ok we go from a system that did not work to another system that did not work back to the system that did not work, it’s always short term with Scottish football, pen pushers just to keep their job come up with pash to make an idea seem plausible, apparently Largs is the center of the universe for coaches to learn, how come most of ty Scottish coaches play hoof ball???
Maybe in future they might consider a Premier league with more teams in it, but I won't hold my breath (no that I can hold it for very long anyway)
Capital precisely a 16 team league and a summer league at that!!
How many player did the SPL provide for the World Cup?
It does not impact on us anymore!!

I would love to see that, but only when Dundee United are sixth in the Championship. (Only joking Arabs)
The way they are going could well be Capital, that young boy Cathro At hearts got sacked for less

The return of a reserve league is a very good move imo. The young boys will learn a lot more from playing alongside some of the older heads.
Great move, i was for the idea of the colt teams but this is just as good.
Is this starting from the 19/20 season?

No immediately mate
I hope this puts the final nail in the colt coffin.
Certainly when you hear retired players talking they say that the experience of playing alongside and against older players is invaluable.
Ivan, i think it will.
This is almost as good as the Colt teams in my opinion.
The colt experiment failed miserably. They weren't at all competitive in the fizzy pop cup, they continually changed the rules to increase the amount of overage players and they still weren't competitive.
Hopefully the colt teams are dropped from the cup next year, and then they can look at getting rid of the ridiculous cross-border element of that competition too.
I'd love to see a Home nations clubs cup personally.
Why?
The best teams from Wales and NI have barely been able to compete against our lower league clubs.
So to add glamour to the fizzy pop cup, our bigwigs in their infinite wisdom have decided to add the two teams who just missed out on promotion from whatever the Vauxhall Conference is called these days.
Two teams who want to get league football. Who will fancy their chances this season. Who have to play 46 league games. Who have the FA trophy, and a couple of other competitions to compete in.
Why the feck would they give a monkeys about playing Elgin away in November?
Madness.
Excellent news ( I think ) .
Can mind back in the day for one or two Rangers and Celtic fixtures that a few first teamets were dropped in so they got a result
They tried something different - lambasted,
Revert back to the usual - lambasted,
Some people are never happy....
Must be awful being an Arab
The only criticism of the new reserves plan is I think they're going to play the games on Monday afternoon's.
I think it's a shame they don't put it on in the evening so that punters can go along and watch. They used to get decent crowds at times. I suppose it saves them on overheads such as stewards and putting the lights on.

It is but I don't see how that's relevant to this discussion
There will be decent crowds for the reserve league for bigger games.
It will help give our large squad game time.
Should help those coming back from injury.
I think it is a good idea
They were always Monday afternoons Ivan.
