Chill, we’ve got this
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tbh I am actually quite relaxed about it. I have a sneaky feeling we might pull out a big transfer towards the end of the window, someone like Martial would be nice.
Who remembers waking up on that Sunday many years ago and logging in to the old 606 and seeing we had signed Luka Modric.
Many fans ridiculed us that day saying we had signed a week little girl etc, anyway my point is don’t worry Darth levy has something up his sleeve😀
I would definitely describe Grealish as a weak little girl so may be the signing of the season.
Not having a dig here but are you all not quite worried about the start of the season now?
Several away games to start, all your WC players (and there's lots) are not even back pre-season training, hard to see how they will be fully match fit till end of August.
At this stage it's 16 days (?) till the window closes and the league starts, that is very little time to give any new players time to adapt to Spurs, and especially when you consider how Poch wants his players to be super fit and play in his system.
It's all pointing towards a difficult start for you, does anyone think Kane / Alli etc. will be ready to play v Newcastle on opening day?
Everyone will be available for Newcastle
Match fit?

I read somewhere that even though they are on holiday the coaches have given them a light training plan to keep them ticking over.
But in answer to your question Kneerash yes, I am a little concerned. Away games first, Wembley then your mob at our new home and as it stands no new signings makes a tough start.
3 weeks to go, no deals done.
At least you haven't spent well over the odds on a floppy haircut though.....yet.
It's Spurs though so there will be a flurry of activity at somepoint.

Not that I think it will be a swap but with neither team wanting to sell to a domestic rival I could see Martial coming to Spurs (Prob better value than Zaha) based on the grounds that we sell them Toby (Despite being older, Jose all about the "now", hes much better than Harry Maguire.
With the news that another target Malcom is off to Barca or Roma we are gonna have to start doing something soon. Waiting to Sell Dembele, Sissoko, Llorente, Janssen, KGN to generate cash isn't gonna be quick or easy. This where Levy's rep hurts us, Playing hardball on a tight time frame, in a short window with rivals flushed with cash is not a good strategy
While I think we are good enough to get top 4, I fear this summer's events will hurt the start of the season and we'll be playing catch up from the start

Yeah it's the same old story, slow start and playing catch up. I actually fear for our chances of top 4 this season but I did say that last season and we came through.
Also the flipside to that is, we shouldn't be just aiming for top 4 we should be looking to progress from 3rd.

Id love that to be the case but I just don't see it. In addition to lack of signings/ selling the deadwood, new contracts need to be sorted for several guys. We have another new stadium to adjust to & players coming back late. United, Liverpool, Arsenal & Chelsea will be better than last year & City are already miles ahead. Hate to say it but the Spammers have signed some decent players, got a manager with a track record and seemingly got over the new stadium/ hatred for the D1ldo brothers...... I think this year is gonna be tough. A lot rests on the next 3 weeks
I am more concerned about keeping Toby, Dembele and Rose to be honest. If they stayed all we need is one centre mid.
Is there a chance Dembele leaves? I heard on a podcast he was saying he might have to go as he's struggling to keep pace with the PL, is that true?
The only so called concrete transfer link we had is Grealish. That it. Quite sad.

Me too. Toby proved his fitness at the WC. I wouldn't swap him or Jan for any CB in world football right now. For us to have the best season possible I think we have to play a back 3 of Toby, Sanchez & Jan. If that means losing him for peanuts next summer.... so be it
DL will look at the World Cup squads and probably buy a Croatian and A.N Other.

Yep.... Pretty much. I think he either fancies a big pay day in China or a slower pace game in Italy. A long term hip injury aint great for the hustle and bustle of a premier league midfield.... Really hope he stays but he cannot be counted on be a regular starter. A new CM is a must as we want Sissoko nowhere near that 1st 11
