if he had a long contract remaining he would.
You don't need the money, but you want to sign a quality striker
Does he know the club that pay his wages need to get a fee that represents his market value ? He is one of the best GK around and to find a replacement of his quality the club need to fork out a minimum of £80m ?That’s what Atletico Madrid will be asking for Oblak. The club are not asking for £80m, I am sure they would settle for less, but not £35m RM have offered for him. He is asking the club to take a hit so that he can have a big signing on fee when joins RM.
Give him the Malouda treatment I’d say. Otherwise RM will have to do much better than what they have offered.
send the lanky streak of p!ss to Vitesse on loan

Did you see him against Leeds yesterday?
I would go as far reporting RM to FIFA for tapping him up.

if he wanted out that much he could offer to pay it himself by taking a wage cut, but i bet he doesnt want out that badly.
Sad news for Chelsea is if hes off, Hazards off, cause if you believe what eachother say they won't go without eachother.
Chelsea are paying the price for letting Courtois stay on loan in Madrid for 3 years and taking that long to make a decision on him.
He should be made an example, end of.
If he is that desperate to leave, I think FIFA rules allow him to pay up the final year of his contract himself and leave as a free agent.

Chelsea still have to be compensated by RM in that case though right? would it go to tribunal who determine the fee?

No skin off my nose, i don't exactly want the prem to lose its top players to the two Spanish clubs regardless of who they play for. But i read a few quotes of them saying they will sign if the other signs and all that crap.
He went awol last season. Guy is an irrelevant terd.

Depends on when he signed his current contract. I was assuming he signed it 3+ years ago. If he did, he should be allowed to buy it out and walk away for free, no compensation payable. If the contract was lass than 3 years old he can't do it. FIFA Article 17.

Probably already a City fan under a new name,
Chelsea need to stand firm.
If Courtois wanted to go, clearly for personal reasons, he will have to submit a transfer request instead of acting like a child.
It’s up to Real to pay the asking price. It’s almost as if they have told Courtois to go AWOL to lower the price.
