Poor decision to loan out Bats

He probably doesn’t want to be 2nd fiddle to Morata or doesn’t have the right attitude to stay and fight for a place.

Personally, I don’t understand why the rush to loan him out, without giving him a proper chance to see what he can do, we had until 31st Aug to ship him out on loan.

Maybe he wanted to go out on loan? Refusing to sign a new contract in order to increase his value? No buyers? Seems a strange one.

Seems as if he's pıssed off with the club here.

He’s done reasonably okay whilst on loan at Dortmund. He’s got his flaws, but he knows where the back of net is (more so than Morata atm ). Obviously he needs to improve on his movement off the ball, he’s a bit static in or around penalty area.

Surprised Dortmund didn’t come back for him considering he did reasonably ok with him. There is question mark here !!!

We shouldn't let Morata's poor form start any re writting of history re Bats, he's absolute rubbish. The fact he's a decent finisher yet still getting loaned out at a time we need scorers speaks volumes for how crap his all round game is.

For all of Morata's many faults he has good movement which gives space for the rest to operate and gives him all these chances, Bats is so fecking static and it makes the whole team easier to defend against as a result, case in point the two Norwich cup games.

Not a Sarri player at all, in fact if Sarri proves to be a success expect him to be sold.

He's fine in a team that play direct looking for his diagonal runs towards goal (like Torres at Pool), but he doesn't cut it playing this football. Sarri would've wasted him even more than Conte did.

Morata, Giroud, Abraham + Hazard as a false 9 option will be enough this season.

Coming from someone with no grasp of football tactics.

He's ok in his league level...it ain't as a player for us though
He should've gone back on loan to Bristol City

Not one of our strikers is good enough. I think under normal circumstances Abraham would have been loaned out first, as the weakest of the 4, but he's English so loaning out Bats helps to lower our non-domestic numbers. It does suggest that Batshuayi is not considered good enough by Sarri though, in addition to Conte before him. Batshuayi is not the answer.

He looked pretty bad for Swansea

Strike force of Giroud and Morata, hope someone becomes available in January...

Seriously we should've pushed for Vardy...we will rue this error when we can't score into November

Never understand why we didn't go for Aubameyang in January. We could have beaten furrrrking Arsenal to signing him for sure.

Yup. Aubameyang will smash it this season as well. At least we can console ourselves knowing that we helped fund Arsenal's move for Aubameyang by buying Giroud

We had to loan out 2 to meet our quotas. The options were Bats, Zouma, Bakayoko and Giroud.

Zouma was nailed on to go. Giroud nobody was interested. Its pointless keeping 4 strikers when you play a single striker system.

Giroud gives us plan B, if Sarri needs it

They did go back in for him but we refused to sell him, and they didn't want to do a loan again with no option to buy. Can't blame them really, you can't build your whole team or make your main striker a loanee
