More understandably so, Beckham always looked to be in the public eye to increase his profile. Hence why he was written about constantly. Sterling has looked to keep his head down throughout his career.

And his petulance played a big role in England exiting the world cup.

I think it was another poor run of displays by Stirling that helped England exit the World cup myself

If it's racism then why is Wrighty liked by most Football fans?
Sterling comes across as a bit of an arrogant so and so, who doesn't do it for England, hence gets some stick. Nothing to see here!

Is it racist to say he's a complete tw@?Hasn't he got a hairdressing salon in his house?

"People say you are playing the racism card, but you give me a good reason why Raheem Sterling gets the stick he gets for just being a footballer"

This annoys me it's just lazily blaming everything on racism,he's just not a very likable person a bit like Andy Cole thinks he's a superior being and is sulky and introvert!

Raheem Sterling gets badly treated by the media therefore the treatment is racially motivated.

Not great logic

Speaking of not great logic, this is a good example of it.

It is possibly for racism to occur to one member of an ethnic group and not all. This really shouldn't have to be explained.

Until sterling has effigies of him burnt in the street because of a press campaign please save me the racism nonsense

posted on 14/8/18

I don't know him as a person, so wouldn't ever comment on that, but the criticism he got during the World Cup was due to his perceived lack of football ability.

Seems to be bang in form under Pep again though, a goal in his first game back. Maybe he gets more love at club level?

I think you should read that comment again, he's only saying that Sterling like Andy Cole was unlikable.

I think its more because he is a forward who relies on supply and England aren't a very good team and Southgate wasn't a very good manager.

Well since you seem to be very opinionated on the matter, but dodge any direct question on the subject TCW. Why do you think he is targeted?

posted on 14/8/18

I told you already that I believe it is because he is short.

My strong opinions are of your opinions. This is not a subject dear to my heart.

That's it Wrighty, play the race victim card every time a black player misses an easy chance . Kane would have gotten the same stick if he continually messed up like Sterling did.

Is he targeted though,or is it that certain people with certain agendas jump on any criticism that is directed towards Sterling

posted on 14/8/18

And the topic is not 'Why is sterling mistreated by the media'. The topic concerns media racism towards sterling. So I don't see the relevance really.

Sterling is miserable ,err no,id say he was a very engaging character

posted on 14/8/18

Cheers for wasting my time Teece.

Plastic, so you don't Sterling is targeted more than other players?

posted on 14/8/18

at this point, probably, nothing to do with his skin though.

just like it wasnt racist with beckham.

sit down.

Sorry edin mate for wasting your company's time. Next time maybe think through your posts before getting minty when someone criticises the logic in them

posted on 14/8/18

No worries mate, I actually thought when you were bringing something constructive to counter my points as opposed to awkward comments normally associated with the stretty/matth/50's of this forum.

posted on 14/8/18

Pretty lazy way out of actually addressing the things I've said, if I'm such a dinosaur why aren't you dissecting my misinformed opinions.

what?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just find it a bizarre way of looking at things. 'Why isn't it racism'

Well because the articles in question are not about his ethnic origins, nor are they articles which would only be written about a young black player.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well why is he targeted to an extent that no other player has been before him?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Must be because he's short
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This post was where I started to take the plss out of this interaction. Hope you can see why.
