just cant see it happening to be honest. Im content with things as they are but it will be interesting to see if anything comes of it
The Mirror believes a Qatari delegation, headed by Sheikh Hama bin Khalifa Al Thani, will be in Manchester today hoping to conclude a deal.

I would honestly rather have the Glazers.
Why would the Glazers sell? If they can off load the debt by selling 25% and then rake in a dividend every year i.e. free money why would they a) need to sell, b) wnat to sell? It make no sense
I'd rather we were not run by these type of people.
Don't have to explain what i mean by that, i think you know.
if it aint broke etc etc!
Mirror are suggesting a conclusion today so obviously Qataris have been negotiating with Glazers for some time now.
Obviously.
Does no one realise that the OP was being sarcastic
As cr4p as the paper is, actually claiming a day is a bold statement. I think papers should be reprimanded for printing rubbish. If i were that bad at my job id be sacked same as anyone else. Particularly transfer stories as they were unreal in the summer!
Ando don't be do dispariging against the integrity of one of Britain's finest journalistic institutions.
This Mirror story was also a question on £M Drop this weekend. And they got it right! (or wrong depending which way you look at it).
after all the abuse ive given chelsea and man city, i would prefer to not have some rich arab own united thanks. we have earnt where we are we havent bought a billion worth of players in a couple of years
Don't have to explain what i mean by that, i think you know.

Potentially a statement that could be deemed slightly racists.
Maybe not your intention but wording it better may have been better.
Anyway, I have no issue with a quatari takeover if it happens.
No debt plus money to spend.
Either way, the glazers have floated part of us on the singapore stock exchange, so I expect them to, if they are going to, buy a stake, not the whole club.
Makes you wonder why they have come, in delegation, to Manchester, to buy shares on the Singapore Stock Exchange .
Or even to speak to the owners of Manchester United for that matter.
As far as I am aware the shares have not been listed yet. The Glazers received approval to do so, but no date for this happening has yet been sent.

You are under a misapprehension regarding the role of tabloid 'papers; the instant transmission and dissemination of news means that reporting of "news" is only a minor function of tabloids.
Printing rubbish is their job, and they are good at that it must be said!
They (journos) make up stories that they think you want to hear. Generally gullible people then buy it to find out more. This is how it works. There are enough gulliable people out there who seem quite happy to fall for this caper every time. Many post their opinions on this board.
