Calling it early, this match is going to be a draw even if we get 5 full days.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I actually hope that happens, because it necessarily means that at least one of the two teams will have knuckled down and batted properly.

This is strange. Even on good batting wickets we are 3 or 4 down by this point.
Easiest pitch of the series to bat on.
Perfect for Cook to depart in style and for others to do well, i.e. Jennings and Moeen.
True. England will be glad they've got 6 bowlers with 2 spinners.
With Jadeja bowling, we might amazingly get 30.overs in this session.
Jennings gone. Knocked the ball straight to a close fielder. Daft.

I just don't understand the logic in taking down the only thriving article on the cricket board
Fair enough, the chat wasn't literally about the Eng v Ind tests... but how are we supposed to talk about those when we're in the week break between matches?
Daft

Boost and ban buttons are right nextdoor to each other, so one in every 20/30 or so times I boost I actually hit ban instead.
Fair do's cheers Admin.

Yeah the thread went off topic...
Turned into a scouting session for England's next opener lol
----------------------------------------------------------------------
well...we do need one....for Jennings, let alone Cook
Don't know how Moeen is still there. Hopefully he can cash in this afternoon.
Can't really blame the bowlers here. Shami has bowled well for no reward. Not looking good for us though with these long boundaries - could be a long 130 overs in the field.
Just got home to see England 7 down by close

Yeah...we took all day to make a rickets of that
Yeah it was a good fight back by my team. However we could have done better with catching but still it’s all good 👍
Also Kohli quite unlucky with tosses and lost all of them this test series.. Root seems to be a good tosserrr 😂😂
Overcast forecast tomorrow, Jimmy and Broad will be rubbing their hands and I expect them to skittle this fragile Indian batting line up
Billy,
I hate to agree with u pal. I don’t have much expectations either but proud of our bowling this series. Idiot Shastri n Kohl’s selections along with his captaincy really messed up for us!
Good article and like this fresh thread so don’t have to scroll up for old comments.......👍
So, tomorrow, Cook needs another 4 runs to average 45 in test cricket, 29 runs to take 5th place from Sangakarra, 54 runs for a 33rd hundred.
Glad Cook did it. What I have to say is that I think the Indians deserve a lot of credit for their classy reaction to the whole Cook situation. India are a class act.
Also, people have a go about the test rankings etc - but English conditions are just as strange to them as the sub-continent is for us.
