Halfy will have the last word, but not until the threadsters have basked in glory of another three points. Next weeks game takes us to OT and I can honestly say that we have nothing to fear, not that I think we’ll win but at least we have a team that can compete !

How rude of me Gemlad, you’re quite right, and I offer my profound apologies
Press and media all having a good w@nk over us last night and this morning. Not sure how to process this, even Chris Sutton was tipping is for a top 7 finish on 5 live.
Halfy is targeting 4-5th place this season, backed us in June to finish top 6 and I'm more convinced now than I was back then
6 Carabao Cup ties are going to be used as part of the trial introduction of VAR into English football. Wolves v Leicester has been selected as one of those 6 games

Haven't been on here much lately. Thought I had entered a time warp when I looked in on the match thread after a great win, to see people still talking about Afobe?? Could have sworn our first choice striker and match winner is called Jimenez?
May as well be discussing whether Dicko should get a game, or if Edwards would offer more off the bench than MGW
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Be good to see you on here more gb
Hope you are enjoying the season. We were commenting at the game yesterday how unbelievable the quality is after what we have watched for many years
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Loving the season so far DJ
Wolves have improved on last year's high standards and every game has been a joy to watch. Nuno looks a perfect fit for the prem with the footballing intelligence of Wenger or Pep and his same old honest and modest approach to the media making us new friends every week. The team playing beautiful football and clearly enjoying what they do. Molineux packed every week and as noisy as I can remember it.
And sitting behind it all, owners who people are starting to take seriously when they say they want to make us as big as Man City.
After a lot of false dawns for long suffering fans, this feels really special. We're going to lose games at times - probably starting next week - but can many of us even remember the last time we were going to Old Trafford with genuine thoughts of competing at a level with Man United, and potentially beating them through better quality football, not just grabbing a set piece goal and defending for 85 minutes?
Anyone seen that Leicester fan or Everton fan who were obsessed with telling us we weren’t very good earlier in the season?
cinci and my good self are dealing with the deluded scouser
Agree with all that gb. Utd might beat us, but they might not. One thing for sure, Nuno’s team are much better to watch than Mourinho’s
The word is spreading. Reading that Wolves got a two page article in the main Mexican sports paper yesterday, mainly of course featuring Jiminez. We are becoming a world wide brand
we wont go to park the bus thats for sure
My Evertonian girlfriend, didn't appear to be too pleased when I whatsapped a snapshot of the league table to her on Sunday night. In fact I got a very rude response.
i find everton fans very bitter and twisted.
not much point to the club really, bit like blues.
will always be just the other city club
I know ganger, incredibly bitter and cynical about anything Red. She loves Turkish food but wont go anywhere near a restaurant with the word Istanbul in its name. In fact we were in Bristol recently and she went off on one after I suggested we peruse the menu of a place called Bristanbul.
Irrational.
Maybe it's not just Portuguese men we should be signing. Benfica Women win 28-0 in their first ever match.

A mere chuckle on the Everton thread drew out the bitter everton fan but blackstarr hasn't been so eager to pop by.

As everyone seems to be hell bent on discussing the forthcoming game, I will post the preview thread in a few minutes.
Is it on Saturday or Sunday gemster?
Checking in from Prague where I’ve just left a superb sun-dappled courtyard where they keep plonking jars of their home-brewed beer in front of you. An accordionist strolls around playing Bavarian and other music. A word in his ear and we had “Those Were The Days” masterfully delivered. Felt like I was in heaven without yet being properly dead. ‘U Fleku” is the place by the way.
Now on Bratislava. Overall not as amazing as Prague, but the old town has all the bars, restaurants and cafes together and easy to find. Slovakia start a real ale festival just on the day I arrive. Coincidence?
Read that back like I was slagging Slovakia. Couldn't be further from the truth. Very comfortable here.
Slovakia is beautiful, though probably best to see Bratislava before Prague or Vienna as after those two it obviously isn't as impressive but like you I did the opposite.
Spis castle was awesome out toward Kosice.

Actually loving Bratislava. Going to Vienna tomorrow - by boat along the Danube. It is hot, which I hadn't expected, but everything looks better in the sunshine.
Stephansdom was a pretty epic Cathedral and for randomness the Hundertwasser building is interesting if you get time away from the palaces.
