This is before mentioning the completely fudged up nonsense with the stadium. If it was unlikely to be done this season why not just do a 2 year deal at Wembley and avoid all the farce that has gone one with NWHL.

Do you seriously think Poch is good enough for Real? Do you think anybody wants Kane at the moment?

When they were clearly after him before hiring Lopetegui. Recent results don’t read well for Poch.

Nothing to do with not signing anyone, these players are playing like absolute caaants.

Played brilliantly against United and then just fell apart since

Not in the first half they didn’t. Maybe 2nd half.

5 stars

I noticed that Striketeam hasn’t commented on here since around about the time we beat United. Very convenient

Kane needs a rest and yet we have Llorente, who has bags of CL experience and is tailor made for tough away games in Europe, but he never gets a game, not even off the bench, what was the point of signing him.

We did NOT play brilliantly against Man U at all, they should have been out o f sight by half time. We have not played well all season riding our luck and now it's run out. Tonight's goal was rubbish.

Of course its to do with signings ffs - you cant expect these players to perform at 100% every single game.

No replacement for Kane. No technical passer in CM and if you drop Eriksen there you lose creativity up top.

I guarantee if Poch started Llorente ahead of Kane tonight everyone on here would be screaming for the managers head
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not everybody. I've advocated dropping Kane for months and shuffling the pack to have Son, Lucas, Lamela, Alli and Eriksen doing the scoring. Kane's miss tonight bears me out.

The defeats this season are nothing to do with levy. Players that last couple of seasons could defend set pieces and were solid are now playing like caaaants and the manager is making questionable decision after questionable decision. To blame levy for the start of this season is absolutely laughable.

None of this applied last couple of years then? Or do you only need those players now and never before ?

Personally I would have signed a Cm but our very good players are just playing like caaants

What nonesense to excuse Levy of any blame. A ST would have been invaluable when Kane is off form and more importantly a CM that could control the game a bit more - deciding the tempo and killing off teams.

To suggest signing in those two areas wouldn't have made a difference is ridiculous. They would have added some change as well rather than a stagnant team which has won nothing going into another season knowing deep down they'll probably win nothing again.

Yes it did apply then as well which is why we've not won anything. Top four has been brilliant and we've improved to over last three season but we've a great opportunity to have added a couple quality signings to take us next level.

Expecting every player to perform at 100% every game is unreasonable and the depth isn't enough. I like Levy but he has messed up the summer when Pochettino himself was adament about getting deals done early and properly.

Him being okay about it publically is more to do with his character and professionalism but even he won't have been impressed.

Stop giving the players an excuse. They had the game there to win and they messed it up through bad play.

The game was under control. But we suddenly can’t defend a set piece with the same players who could last season. How the fack can levy be to blame for a player losing his marker

We were doing facking ole at 1-0 up. We had the game completely under control

Right and you've said as much as a CM being an area for improvement. One that would have dictated the game more to see it through and that's a signing missed.

Equally Kane as great as he is has some terrible patches of games. A better striker would help us and give him a break too.

posted on 18/9/18

Yep, the clubs that are serious about challenging and end up winning the trophies, go out and get the players they want. They pay the asking price and get their deals done quickly and with little fuss, because they know what they need and go out and get them.

With Spurs, it is Levy bargain hunting and refusing to pay over the odds, and time and again we miss out on our targets.

Do we even know what we want? Signings are usually bargain hunting and hoping they fit the system rather than "that's the guy we need to improve - let's get him".

For all the abuse Guardiola gets for spending he has a clear of the type of player he needs and will go after it (granted with a huge fund backing him).

The squad needed freshening up. We knew there could be an issue with the World Cup and many of our players involved. Kane looking tired is not surprising at all, and I and probably others had reservations about this going into the next season in regards to not doing enough business, and even then I wasn't expecting us to do absolutely NOTHING.

Funny how our most newest signing is the one that's been our best player this season, Moura. Does that not show how new signings can improve a team?

It looks at the moment like a team and manager who are resigned to thinking we're not going to win anything this season and who can blame them.

All we need to do is to break this 2-1 losing streak, when we do we'll be off and running.
