What a strange start to a thread! Talk of Vidal and View spit roasting followed by Spart complaining sone northern bloke won't put his train in the tunnel at a time to suit Spart.
Weird ...

Not sure what game you were watching heb but the one I watched finished 1-0 to Wigan. Awful game. Would have been more tolerable if I had been smoking whatever you had.

Yes. It appears that I was watching a replay, involving two entirely different teams. From Spain.

On an unrelated note, I thought I had lost my vinyl copy of Neil Young's "Ragged Glory". After a long time of searching through cardboard boxes last night in the cramped conditions of the upstairs bit in my garage, I eventually found it. I had inadvertently misfiled it at some point in the past. I'm happier about this than I am sad about Spart's misfortunes, if I'm honest.

Mr Angry of Thorne here. I bought a 3 year senior railcard for £70. Saves me 1/3 on rail fares so it is economic to catch the train to the match on Saturday. However the new time tables mean I have to catch a train at 12.02 and can't get a train back until after 20.00. There is a 6 hour gap with no trains. What a useless service. This is Northern Rails doing. My taxes go to subsidise the share holders of this useless company yet they can't get me to and from a football match in a railway city. Nationalise rail and don't compensate the thieving rail companies.

Serves you right for voting Tory in 1992.

I will sue you for defamation saying that Scouse. I would rather suck 666's piles than vote Tory.

This is going to be quite some post-match entertainment. We will need a rope to attach to Spart's ankles of course. At least it will help him pass the time until his train arrives.

Thought that would wake you up.

They electrified the Liverpool to Manchester line in 2015. The "new" electric rolling stock is from the Southern Region (they got them new 30 years ago).

Guess who got the brand new trains?

Carillion were half-way through building a new hospital in both Liverpool and Brum. Liverpool has never elected a Tory MP in living memory, (maybe longer)? The government has agreed to fund the completion of the hospital in Brum, but not the one in Liverpool - draw your own conclusions.

I think the conclusion is that nobody likes Scousers, really.

You think Carillion was bad - and it was - but wait until the school MATs get into difficulties, make sure you stand back 😱😱

Always get good OFSTED reports because they helicopter in their best teachers when that happens. A bit like Watford's use of the loan system a few years ago, or Forest's now, totally corrupt.

Aw, sorry Scouse, just slipped out. I’m on the same page as you.

I wonder if my parents thought the country had gone to the dogs when they were in their mid-late fifties, (which would be approx. 1985)?

............... and whist we are on about the railways Spart, when did guards stop checking tickets?

I can't remember the last time I had my ticket checked, (certainly not this year)? There must be hundreds of passengers who don't bother, no wonder they are overcrowded.

Morning fellow rams, back in Blighty after suffering one of the worst hangovers I’ve ever had thanks to 10% Belgian beer 🤕.

Often have my ticket checked Scouse. Most of the stations are unmanned so they need to on the bit of the railway round here.

1985 was height of yuppiedom presided over bu St Margaret of Grantham, the patron saint of gammon, along with St Enoch of Wolverhampton. Yuppies carrying mobile phones the size of house bricks, AIDS and new romantics. Your parents were probably right.
