Just watched the goal, possibly a shirt tug wouldn't have cost you anything more than a yellow.

It's much better for the sport to have free flowing dribbles and goals like that.

Ace, the grappling at corners in particular has got beyond a joke to the detriment of the sport. There is a balance that needs to be struck.

yeah I agree.

Do you remember the match against man utd where herrera got sent off? The whole team taking turns in just chopping hazard down.

Much better without those fouls as a spectacle. I even think that a foul with no intent to play the ball is unsportmanlike behaviour and should be a red. these "professional" fouls that the commentators half commend do my head in.

OP you can't tell me that if Salah gets the ball and dribbles through your defence and scores the winning goal at the weekend, when a defender could have fouled him to stop it, that you'd be happy with that outcome?

what?

Where have I said Liverpool fans should be happy? It seems you miss the point on most things.

Klopps sides are always naive, one of the main reasons they don't win things.

For all their great football, his sides don't seem to have that gamesmanship sometimes required.

I don't think it was so simple to be fair. Henderson and Fabinho were both on yellow cards, I can't remember if Keita was so maybe he could have fouled him, and then Moreno was in the box.

true xavi, I think they were all on yellows to be fair.

Was some goal, the meg on Moreno was ridiculous

I mean on the pitch harl not off it. Mind you now looking back, a lot of cynical fouls lastnight. Milner and Hendo are little assassins at times.

Sandy he's always been the best in the league for me. But i'm not all about stats and goal return. Silva and hazard are my favourite players in the league.

Nick

Silva and Hazard are more comparable than say Hazard and Salah, Even tho Hazard is a winger in paper he drifts all over the place much like David Silva. When I see people hitting Hazard with the old "he doesn't score 30 goals in a season" line I think to myself well neither does Silva, Why is he exempt from these statistical criticisms?

Silva has been often called the best player in the PL and rightly so especially around 2011-2013 period but his numbers were never outstanding.

Hazard doesn't stay on the last man like Salah and until this season hasn't played in teams that are predominantly attacking teams so when he does score there's usually a bit of work to be done to get the goal, Salah whilst scoring some beauties also scored plenty of fox in the box type of goals, Hazard rarely does.

Spot on mate, I've tried saying this to people but they suddenly go quiet. They go what the formation looks like in the paper which we know(especially in years gone by in a defensive team) that hazard picks the ball up on the half way line or in his own half more often than not.

Similar situation would be fabregas as a number 9 at barcelona, he wasn't the last man going into the box winning headers or on the last defenders shoulder, he was dropping in, spinning and creating for the wingers. Yet on paper it would have said he was the striker.

I think anyone who knows or played the game, will see what players like silva, hazard and in the past zidane, nedved, seedorf etc offered teams.

There was no need to foul him. If Moreno had tried to tackle him it would of been a different story. Robertson wouldn’t of let him skip through that easily

Great goal though

I think it was just a very good goal, perhaps aided by moreno’s poor defending, all credit to Hazard.

Not nice to be on the receiving end, but fair play, it was a stunning goal. He's such a clean hitter of the ball with his right and left, really impressive

Can we have the lottery numbers after that discovery?

Brilliant goal but it was against their B side defence/goalkeeper.

They'll have a complete different back 5 on Saturday, if he can replicate a similar performance with more support from his colleagues that'd be great.

So you mean a couple years ago when he ran the show up there? Would love a performance like that

Absolutely! He does seem to turn it on for the big occasions, just could do with some support from his team mates, they just seem to wait for him to do something.

It was against the B team? What does that matter? Let's not pretend like Robertson, Gomez and A-Arnold are world beaters. They aren't. Heck even Alisson whilst being a good distributor isn't a great goal keeper, He wasn't stopping that Hazard strike.

Messi scores a goal like that against Celta Vigo and everyone loses their minds, This was an unbeaten Liverpool team until last night.

Let's not forget towards the end of the game they also had the likes of Salah and Firmino on and they weren't upto much against our "B" team defence.

Robertson is one of the best left backs in the league.
Van Dijk is one of the best CBs in the league

Neither were playing so it was their B team defence.
