I'd like to take him on a little Bill & Teds excellent adventure type thing, around places like York, Plymouth, Hereford and Oldham in the 70s & 80s to see the thousands we used to take away when we were $hit, to Athens in 71 to see Chelsea fans sleeping in the streets to stay for the replay against RM, to see us smash the mighty Liverpool 4-2 in the Cup in 78 and watch the bemused look on Ray Clemence face; so he could see the 'Real' history and feel the real emotion of supporting a club like Chelsea!

Lol funny thing is, he’s only seen the £1 thing on here when oppo fans use it as a dig, yet no actual chelsea fan cares and is proud of their history, younger guys like me and the older guys (brum,69 etc)
£1 club and were more successful then 95% of football league clubs.
Been relegated and bounced back, had 80,000 crowds in the 30s, first English team to qualify for Europe etc.
And then in the same sentence they say we are glory hunters lol, so what isit? We’re a crap team with no history? Or we are glory hunters.
Anyway only non chelsea fans would use the £1 thing as an attempt of dissing the club. Real Chelsea fans are proud of their history and don’t care.

Agree with this. The £1 jibe means nothing to me, as Ace points out it's not even the true figure, but some on here seem to think there's mileage in it.
Abramovich allegedly turned down 2 billion for the Club recently, which says more about our Club than any £1 jibes.

What happened last season and the season before that? Yeh United one nowt of worth. Currently fighting off relegation and in the process of destroying one of the modern day galacticos. Poor Sir Alex having to watching his legacy destroyed by "a friend"

True fans don't care how many trophies their team wins, so it's completely pointless to ask me such a question.
I went 26 years not seeing Chelsea win a bean but was always proud to stick out my chest if some one asked who I supported and say - Chelsea!
You don't appear to be able differentiate between the true meaning of the word 'History' and a team winning a shed load of trophies.
In a way I feel sorry for you, as you'll never understand the feeling of truly loving a football club and all the emotions that go with the ups and downs!
If everyone were like you, we'd all be supporting Real Madrid (or a bloke called Jose) and what a sad world that would be!
