Beautiful place, well worth a look.
Though England fans on tour are either;
Excuse to escape the wife for a few days, in beautiful place with some amazing looking women.
Excuse to escape the wife and get drunk.
Excuse to escape the wife and fight.
Excuse to escape the wife and support england in a bar nearby.
Basicalky the wife doesn’t know it’s a closed door game.
May well have booked the flights before it be announced or realised the game is behind closed doors. It's a beautiful country so why not make a weekend out of it?

Just read the article on the BBC. That one guy who hasn't missed an England away game since 2008. What an interesting life he must lead.
Going for the Bobby Moore's
Eric
That's a bit ironic considering you never f**k up about how many United matches you go to.
OP
Croatia is a stunning country to visit. Great scenery, great bars and great food.

Travelling round the world does sound very interesting. And having the money to do it.

A lot of brawling is pre arranged on the net these days..

Dj lives. Welcome back
If they're like the Irish away fans then it's just as much a social occasion as for football. A few of my mates go to all the aways and its the same crowd in the main.

Travelling round the world is great. Why spoil it by watching England?
In my life I have travelled to over 30 different countries and lived* in about 11 different countries. (including Croatia )
I must have a great life.
*By live I mean countries I've stayed for at least 6 continuous months.
Or am I missing something here?

Quite evidently.
Croatia is a great place to visit, the women are phenomenal too
Croatia is one of the most beautiful places in Europe. Hvar is great and the lakes are simply breathtaking.
I doubt that's whga the England fans are going for though

I wrote an article saying similar. There are some very strange people about. Nothing wrong with visiting Croatia, but to say you are going to go because of a football match, you cannot get in to see, seems rather a complete waste of time and money.

When teams play away in Europe they often take as many without tickets as those that go with. This is all nothing new.

Yes, but there's always the hope you can nab a ticket and get in. If they bought the flights etc.. beforehand without knowing it was behind closed doors, then fair enough.
Why's it behind closed doors anyway?
