With the pitch only recently being laid and there being parts of the stand were seats have only just been installed. I imagine the whole project there was an overrun.
So would Levy have known that the company he gave the contract to, were going to sub it out to someone else? Or is that just how it works in construction all the time.
you cant put a time scale or price on safety, those cheeses need to be at the right temperature
Maybe Mr. C it was the frugal nature of the quote that made the alarm company resort to this to try to make the operating costs lower. I don't know if Levy would have been aware of that or not.
Morning Summer. Not sure that is the only reason, but may be partly to blame, there still seemed a fair bit to do other than that when I went down there a month back. I was on to the ticket office this morning enquiring when the Chelsea tickets go on sale, and they said they were not sure yet, as they were not sure where the game would be played. I wonder if this is an indication of them trying to get the ground open for Chelsea, although that is just over a month away, so very much doubt it will be played anywhere but Wembley.
I have always had it in mind that the Stadium would be opened for Man United on 12th January.
Morning Sandy, yeah my guess would be some time in the new year also.

On a personal note it is a shame it will not be ready for the chelsea game. Would have loved to have gone to the opening of it(loyalty points allowing)

DO you not think that having learned of this massive issue causing months of delay, the schedule to make the stadium usable for football would have changed, saving over time hours etc that would have been necessary for a mid Sept opening.
Just because some seats aint in now, does not mean that it could not have been ready on time.
It certainly would not have been finished, but it might have been ready to use. Example, we didnt need the cladding on to have a usable stadium and apparently all the landscaping around the stadium was going to be temporary (tarmac) but because of the delays they've put the final finish in (pavers)

Well considering I listed tasks that were likely unaffected by the critical path, I am making an educated guess that this wasn't the only issue.
Hi Summer
When you say the wires were 'maliciously' cut are you implying this was somehow sabotaged deliberately?
Or was your burglar alarm man implying that?

If the contract for the alarm system is between THFC and ADT, then it’s ADT who will be liable. I would imagine ADT’s Professional indemnity and Contractors risk insurance would be big for the size of their operations. Levy won’t care what happens between ADT and their approved subcontractors really.

I find it hard to believe it would have been ready to use by the LFC game but i think this would have been hugely apparent well before the reported failure of critical systems and the formal announcements. Stuff like the pitch being laid (completed in 3 days) and seats going in can easily be sorted for mid Sept. But internally reports say that many boxes and other areas are incomplete.
I don't think we'll ever know the truth, but if THFC are to sue someone here, they will want to maintain that they could have opened and that the failure of X or Y company caused the delays.
My neighbor works for ADT , I’m gonna burn his facking house down.

"when they were tin-tacked by the alarm Company they allegedly maliciously cut all the wires in various places, meaning that the whole thing had to be completely started again from scratch and couldn't just be dropped down to the correct level."
What does this mean? What does tin tacking mean? and why would anyone maliciously cut the wires?
If the liability is going to be huge, I can see some small subcontractors folding their company and start a new one

You seem to be disagreeing and agreeing with me at the same time here Also there is a difference between a pitch being laid and being bedded. I struggle to see the point of your comments.

If THFCs contract is with the main contractor, then they area responsible for us. They pay compensation to us, it they can't recover that from their subbys that's their bad, not ours.
