Afternoon chaps.

Wondering whether I should get this game. I've seen the incredible reviews, but always good to speak to people who have played it.

I'm quite a casual gamer, I don't have loads of time to pump into it, so I like games that I feel are taking over my life.

I loved Farcry 3 and 4, they were great and the only real open world games I've played. Is RDR2 a lot better? Can I dip in and out? Am I being stupid and should I go out and get it? Or is it a lot of wandering round on horseback without much going on?

You're missing out, but I would not buy it if that's the type of gamer you are. Unless you just do the storyline,

The story is about 60 hours on its own. If you are going to just focus on the story and ignore the side missions then it might be worth a look. Especially as it will retain its resale value. It is such a good game that I think that you will be doing yourself an injustice by not having a play of it.

Farcry 3 was an amazing game, Farcry 4 i found boring and no where near the level of 3. Just brought Farcry 5 since its cheaper, anyone played it?


Only started Red Dead, always takes me a while to get into a game, like you are NSMJ, im a very casual gamer. I am appalling at games im looking forward to playing more of RDR 2. The hours of game play alone on offer makes it worth the money and purchase.

Not long an hour or two

Anyone doing the Margaret circus animal trainer stranger mission yet

Racked up quite a lot of hours already, as soon as I got out of the snow though I’ve only done two missions, I’ve just been off exploring. It’s a breathtaking game.

Not played poker there but went to a saloon in st Denis and had this guy telling me about this musician that good he gets white people dancing 😂

lol the levels of detail is unreal. I keep saying im going to do hunting, I get one pelt/animal and then i'm distracted by something.

I got the legendary bear and wolf within an hour of starting my free roam. Completely by accident

As it's pay day today I'll be heading out to buy the game in a bit, really can't wait.

2 hours it took me.

Tommy you will lose weeks months to this game.

I have to use up Some holidays at work so not in tomorrow or Friday so will be having a good long session on it, supplies in surround sound up.

And let’s rob some trains haha

I never bought into GTA online tbh but I will be for this, probably not for a few months though.

Yep, looking forwards to it. Me, my brother and our mates have got a posse of about 10 ready to go. Should be good fun. Looking forwards to double crossing some of them at some point.
