I'd drop and fine him for that act.

Glad Chelsea fans are upset about this. That was a disgrace from Alonso, the sooner a punishment comes in for faking injury the better (although a goal against was great punishment in this case!)

You at least got revenge to an extent, as Rashford's 2 minute "injury" helped contribute to Chelsea's eventual equaliser. United's timewasting made the equaliser seem inevitable and we got what we deserved

Him and Luiz are a shocking combination on the left hand side of the defence. Both lack pace and make many mistakes.

I remember watching at the time and thinking what a loser. His injury feigning cost you the goal. It was pathetic.

He had a poor game all round. Poorest I’ve seen him in a long tsome

Poor game but sure he’ll bounce back next time with a goal or 2

posted on 21/10/18

He's got no discipline at all. May as well be a striker as he doesn't really seem to care for defending.

How do you know he actually wasn't hurt?

posted on 21/10/18

Was that him in on the six yard box?

He was complaining to the ref after the goal

posted on 21/10/18

He’d be a better striker than mocrapata

The next comment is how you know. He did what defenders often do and went down, hoping to get play stopped. The gamble didn't pay off. Fair play to Mike Dean, whom I'm not a big fan of. But he got that right in allowing play to continue and got most calls right yesterday

He didn't really have that bad a game knowing what he brings, only terrible thing he did was hit the deck that lead to Martial's unchallenged equalizer (that was shameful).

His crossing was a bit off but he was working the channels, doing a good job of interchanging with IWB/WB creating overloads in the first half, linking with Hazard, all positive Alonso things. The fact he constantly left that enormous hole behind him that Rashford had fun in is simply the price of his inclusion in the team, on Martial's second goal I blame Luiz for over committing himself knowing full well if he didn't win the ball Alonso hasn't got the pace to recover.... but then again I guess that's who Luiz is as well so can't really blame him either

Something for Sarri to think about. Teams are clocking onto Alonso's space now so he either needs to try Emerson for a few games, see if his injection of pace helps plug that hole, or try Christensen at LCB.

I want Emerson to play at left-back position and Christensen as centre-back position instead of David Luiz.

I don't think a player can be made to look more of a tossser on a pitch than laying down pretending to be injured in his own box while the opposition are on the attack and score from it.

I’m sure nearly every player gets hurt in a game. Of those minor bits of pain some players try and make more out of it than others. It’s a contact sport of course.

He could only experiment with one at the time cos both are central to how we attack atm.

How do you KNOW anything that isn't statistically proven? Put it this way, if i was a juror and the burden of proof was beyond reasonable doubt, based on the events preceding, during and after the "injury" I'd have felt confident in saying he wasn't injured. Interesting that nobody in the Chelsea camp complained about the play continuing, including the player himself, after the game had ended. Do you think he was injured BrummieBlue?

I have know idea if he was injured or not merrysupersteve.

More to the point nor does the author of the article, therefore I think the thrust of the article is a bit unfair given that point.

Had this been a court case would you have been at ease condemning someone on such circumstansial evidence?

posted on 21/10/18

I've already said, based on the evidence before me, that I have no doubt he was faking injury. I'm quite comfortable with that

No complaints from Chelsea.. good to see injury feigning being called out.

From both Chelsea and Man U camps. If rashford doesn’t mess about injury time is 4 mins..

Mike Dean is a bit of a tลsser really, that’s the standard referees in this country. Man Utd played a very physical game yesterday, the ref helped them get away with it, let go countless fouls unpunished.
