Im sure you loved him given he basically played CB for you guys everytime we played eachother.

I don't understand how you can like Morata and hate Torres. Morata sulks, doesn't try and misses more easy chances that Torres did. Torres, despite everything, never gave up for Chelsea and always tried. I can't hate a player like Torres who does that but Morata is another story.

Given you support United i can fully understand why you liked Torres playing for us.
Torres never tried, his attitude was disgusting, from admitting to not caring about results to hiding from the ball to walking down the Loftus Road tunnel in a sulk to bitching about not starting the CL final, the list goes on.

Lol, you're exaggerating everything. For example, Torres didn't 'biiitch' about anything, he just spoke about his disappointment at not starting in the final, which is understandable.
Morata, no excuses for him, when you watch him for Chelsea you see a player that's given up, not one that's fighting. Can't forgive that.

He was sulking so badly Di Matteo cut short his celebrations to console him on the flight home.
Sarri got his subs completely wrong. No one talking about it.
Why the hell did he sub in Fabregas is a riddle. Later he put on Barkley who was the most obvious. Why he forgot Giroud completely is another riddle.

I wouldn't go that far. He had certain games where he definitely wasn't trying, you could see it from a mile away, but (IMO) it was more that he felt he was doing what was best for the team by avoiding the ball. It was a case of him realizing he was a burden with the ball and thereby tried making spaces for players who could actually do something, was sad more than disappointing tbh.
Thing with Morata, and this is where I kind of get Biggish's point, is you see (least I do) a player whose actively taking part in transitions, but when nothing comes off he's not adapting. It's the same routine of win cheap free kicks, make pointless passes which break down moves, moan and whine at the referee, etc... much as Morata actually operates like a proper CF, at least Torres had the shame to know he was trash. It sounds hauntingly sad but it's true
Speaking of Torres, I watched a quick YouTube documentary on his career the other day, apparently he started out as a GK in his youth until Atletico's manager saw his natural pace and eye of a finish and decided he was wasted in net.
Gotta say that explains a lot about his outfield style and unrelenting capacity to doubt himself at every opportunity. He was always technically stunted, even in his prime was very harsh with the ball, it's cos he never properly trained as an outfield player as a kid
