Your username is one of his song titles from the Illinois album. 'Tis a great album by the way.
How can you not know who Sufjan is when you've plucked a rather obscure song title of his as a username?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm joking! I love sufjan Stevens

Self. My apologies, I miss sarcasm and the intent behind some comments on this site.
Glad to hear you love him. Not many people seem to have ever heard of him.
Illinois was such a fantastic album. Favourite album/song of yours?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
so hard to chose!
If I were to list them then it would go something like:
1. Carrie and Lowell
2. Illinois
3. All Delighted People
4. Age of Adz
5. Seven Swans
6. Michigan
Best songs are:
1. Impossible Soul
2. Should have Known Better
3. The Predatory Wasps are out to get us!
4. I want to be well
5. Seven Swans
6. Djohariah
7. Come On! Feel the Illinois
8. In the Devils Territory
9. John My Beloved
10. Futile Devices
Extremely hard to pick the best songs, there is so much I'm missing from that list.
Generally, almost everything the guy has made is a masterpiece, and he is probably one of the most unrecognised musicians alive today!
Whats yours then?
Red how you doing?
Knew that comment would upset the snowflakes on here, if you are so concerned about free movement then can I suggest you take the chance to move out before the 29th, you can then live in the EU and enjoy all the 'benefits' of being a serf.

Have you read the UK/EU withdrawal agreement text?
FFS I thought the topic had moved on from Brexit to Sufjan Stevens.

Maybe you can adapt the gym analogy to help him understand not to be an incendiaryhahaha

That's an excellent pair of lists. I'm pretty much in agreement with your album list. Maybe switch one or two places, but overall I think you've nailed it.
The song list is an impossible task. I've a few different choices but there's so many I cannot settle on a top ten. Massive kudos for The Predatory Wasps. I love that song.
One song that stands out is Casimir Pulaski Day. I'm the son of an Anglican church minister and a close friend of mine died of cancer a few months before I first heard that song. Needless to say it resonated with my circumstances at the time.
Stevens is such a thoughtful writer. On another level to most these days.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Casimir Pulanski tells an amazing story, I've never really experienced anything comparable. However, the lyrics are so immersive. Same goes for the Predatory Wasps.
His lyricism is what ties his style, and make his music so identifiable, despite his music varying very differently from album to album.
Maybe you two could meet for a cup of tea and a biscuit?

Great comments again. Couldn't agree more. The flux he seems to be in regarding to his faith is a unique insight that we don't see in most music these days.
So many of his songs grow on me, the more I listen and comprehend the meanings behind the lyrics.
Totally stoked to have a Sufjan chat with someone on here. I'd definitely have a cuppa and biscuit or two, but would prefer a beer or three.
Who were you before the name change that caught my eye?

Is May the 21st century Machiavelli.
I only ask because the only way out for her premiership is if we have the deal voted down in parliament and she comes back and says you don't want a bad deal so we go for no deal.
Win win in my opinion.
No deal would actually deliver what we voted for.
No deal would actually deliver what we voted for.
By 'we', you mean a very slender majority?

Actually not. There are folks that when voting leave, thought they’d be voting for leaving with a deal.
Obviously bought the lies that the EU need Britain more than Britain needs the EU, and that a free trade deal with the EU would be the easiest trade deal in history.

I suggest you read the UK government's own preparedness notices:
https://researchbriefings.parliament.uk/ResearchBriefing/Summary/CBP-8397
Many sectors (manufacturing, logistics, avaition, security, etc) that rely on joint EU cooperation would come to a complete standstill.
Both the EU and the UK would suffer catastrophic economic consequences.
Years after the referendum, some still believe the cessation of over 750 treaties which have underpinned the fabric of the UK economy, can be terminated without consequences, demonstrates nothing but ignorance.
So because it is difficult we shouldn't do it and allow the EU to subjugate us further.
No deal is not the apocalypse that every one is predicting. Business will adapt or go to the wall.
Brexitiers have been lied to by the metro élite for years about the way we have been sucked into the European Empire.
We voted to leave yet the metro élite have continued to stall and fudge so we are stuck in an even worse position.
If you want to be a part of the future European Empire emigrate now while you still have the chance.
