So this Brexit thing

Out means out.

We should just leave now and get a world trade deal. David Davis was the Brexit secretary and therefore an expert on these type of things. Just like Mogg etc they are in no way putting their own personal/political/commerical interests ahead of the countries.

Remember we hold all the cards, and the German car industry will come running to us when they eventually come to their senses.

Democracy is quite funny. Like imagine if a doctor asked a room consisting of 8 stupid people and 2 doctors, he asked them all to give them a diagnosis for his patient after they had been shown a short video. The video is of the patient having a stroke but with the caption "this is the face he pulled when asked if he supported are troops". The 8 people get outraged that he is disrespecting are troops. The doctors say he is having a stroke. But the majority wins so the doctor has to try and secure a deal with the EU despite the guy having had a stroke and it would probably be better use of his time to treat the guy with the stroke.

FFS, David Davies isn't even an expert on brushing his own teeth. He's as thick as two short ones.

Explain to me how Brexit will change immigration (which is what the majority of Brexiteers voted for), when the figures just published show the net figures are almost exactly as pre-referendum levels, but the drop for the EU has been offset by a rise in ones from non-EU?

If there was the will, the non-EU immigrants could be stopped NOW, as this has nothing to do with EU law.

WWSPD was being satirical.

The reality is government know we need immigration from an economic contribution perspective, but also need to make noises to appease a non small % of the electorate that for various reason's some real, some imagined have issues with immigration.

Proof that Brexiters aren't racists?

Either that, or incredibly naive ones...

Brexit does mean Brexit

What else could it mean?

Tyres?
Toothpaste?
Dog food ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The holy trinity of consumer goods.
All of which will have to be stockpiled.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll only be stockpiling San Miguel
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Piissssss
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd rather drink piisssss

Of course, there are provisions/protections within the EU citizen's directive which the UKG could implement - if they chose to. As other member states have.

What happened to democracy?

The majority voted to leave the EU, we should now leave and if you want another vote afterwards to rejoin that’s fair enough.

Because the majority were misinformed, that's the problem.

"Referendums should be held when the electorate are in the best possible position to make a judgment. They should be held when people can view all the arguments for and against and when those arguments have been rigorously tested. In short, referendums should be held when people know exactly what they are getting."

"If a democracy cannot change its mind, it ceases to be a democracy."

Former Brexit secretary David Davis.

I asked my family which restaurant they wanted to go to. They said the Italian one because online it said they had amazing pizza and lasagna which the kids loved, and it looked really good. We got there and the waiter said there was no pizza or lasagna but he could do us some porridge. Neither the kids or myself thought like this would be a great option but we chose that restaurant because of lasagna and pizza so we had to stick with it. This porridge is rubbish and it's cold.

Yeah cos I ended up with porridge. I could have stayed at home and made pizza and lasagna for way less as well. But we made our choice of that Italian restaurant so had to stick with it. Even after being shown the limited menu.

Assuming you want to leave, given the disaster that has unfolded, why do you think the UKG should pursue this blatantly senseless withdrawal agreement?

Ah well, just shows you can't trust the youth of today.

Should have stuck to good old English fish 'n' chips, innit.

Astonishing to see people thinking total self governance is a pipe dream.

You've been hoodwinked into thinking the EU is UKs saviour.

I hope after all this nonsense is over that Brexit becomes known as the "B word" and the mere mention of it results in a criminal record.

It always makes me think of Weetabix too which is annoying.
