Bournemouth has a greater population than Norwich, Swansea, Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Huddersfield, Blackpool, Ipswich, Watford, Blackburn, Wigan, West Bromwich, Burnley & numerous other towns and cities. (I’ve just mentioned a few that have had top division status.)

----------------------------------------------------------------------

What makes them so great?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A “greater” population means a larger population in this instance. You said you’d rather have WBA in the Prem than Bournemouth. With a larger population, I’d suggest that Bournemouth has as much right to be there. Let’s remember also that they have earned their right to be in the Prem, having got there by doing well in getting promoted.

Unless you have an alternative idea for deciding which clubs are admitted into the top division...
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I was kidding with the 'great' remark

I am just a traditionalist, give me the big clubs any day, these old style footballing cities bring great rivalries in great historic stadiums.

Incidentally.... just watched the Wilder v Fury fight again, fury won without doubt
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No doubt about that

What makes a mockery of the sport is that three judges for a world championship fight can score the fight completely differently. One an easy Fury win, one an easy Wilder win and one a draw.

So you want a closed shop. Where’s the incentive for other clubs?

No, we need promotion and relegation but that doesn't change the fact that the premier league would be 'better' with say Villa and Leeds than it ever will be with Bournemouth.

The powers that be would swap Bournemouth for Leeds in a heartbeat and yes i know Bournemouth are better on the pitch than those i mention right now so deserve to be there.

Forecast to be cold, very wet and quite windy on Saturday afternoon in Wolverhampton, maybe even a little snow. For supporters it’s time to get the waterproofs and thermals out. For the players it’s a reminder this is the Black Country not Mexico or the Algarve

Bournemouth have a couple of long term injuries to midfield players so Andrew Surman has been playing lately. Nothing player in his time at Wolves and can’t believe he will have improved much

Isn't he another 'long throw in' specialist?

I'm inclined to agree with Cinci on this one.
I would love to see Bournemouth, Cardiff, Brighton, Burnley, Huddersfield and Watford replaced by Leeds, Wednesday, Forest, West Brom, Villa and Derby in the Premier League.
It's a real shame how some of the biggest clubs of the past have declined and become second division strugglers.

Teams are where they are on merit.

Bournemouth hoping to have Callum Wilson available tomorrow.

Isn't this just a typical example of how individuals see an event. We have it in all sports and I've read on here how different posters who've seen our games, have totally been at odds at how the match went.

Not sure why there's a need to hate other teams either. That just highlights the the mentality of certain supporters.

I would be worried that the speculation may affect him, but the tattoo of a wolf he is having done does suggest he will be sticking around for a while
=====================================

Money talks and the speculation about whether he will stay or not may well be a reason why his form has dipped. As far as the above comment from DJ is concerned, I suggest you read the comment Neves made about the tattoo.

I don't think professional umpires should have such varying views of a fight

It is such a generalization that the term actually means feck all.

People 'hate' Muslims based on the actions of a few, people hate Leeds based on the actions of a few.........people do hate Trump based on him being a though.

Back in the day my best mate was an Albion fan, we used to to The Hawthorns one week, Wolves the next. Never animosity between us or the other fans.
I moved away and lost touch.
Worked with Albion fans then, got a lot of grief.

Looks like wolfie has paid another visit to the site purely to react to my comments. Maybe I should be flattered.

His comments about boxing judges is of course complete rubbish. Supporters having a different opinion on a football game is one thing. Judges who are paid to decide the result of a fight and given strict guidance on how they should score is an entirely different matter. And for two of them to give diametrically different scores shows one or both of them are doing their job very poorly

posted on 14/12/18

as both of them are likely to get £10 mill plus each, probably a lot more, i dont expect that either of them will be too upset by the draw verdict
