Mad to contemplate doubling his money and worst chase scenario getting a ten-figure payout if things went badly?

Give over.“

Doubling his moneyoh do f** off!!! Pochettino since he signed his new contract is one of the highest paid managers in the country. Will be no problem for Spurs if they want to give him even more money. Pochettino is clearly not just motivated by money though. Let’s be honest, that’s the only redeeming thing you got to entice him, money. Everything else you are are bang average.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
this
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You’re giving that load of rubbish a thumbs up? Deary me.

It’s not all about money, there’s also an element of status. The status of managing a big club like United.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

United are not a big club anymore, they used to be. But as it stands, they are a shambles, and everybody is laughing at them, and rightly so.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Embarrassing

The questions had already been asked and answered. Why waste time asking the same questions ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think the problem is that it hasn't been answered.

But none the less completely understand Spur's position on it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The problem wa# it was a Press conference about the Everton V Spurs game , end of . Like the spurs guy said “ we’re not here to talk about that “ . How thick is the sky reporter
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's not thick he's doing his job, the fact you don't like the questions is your problem
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He’s “ thick “ after being told on several times “where not talking about this topic “ . Einstein said that the sign of insanity is doing the same thing over and over but expect a different result.

That's his job mate he's not thick stupid to think he is

great article. I agree 100%. spurs should just let all the journalists constantly ask questions that will destabilise the club, in our own press conferences.

you mug.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's their job to ask questions. Spurs cannot control the narrative
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Obviously they can and did .
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They can't and they didn't see the story now id about how the press officer tried to shutdown the talk of Poch to united so he did his job very well

Daft to think spurs are in control of this

Sad state of affairs when Man Utd have to take the direct competitions best assets in order to beat them.

Dress it up, joke about it but it is weak. It lacks class.
Trophy wife stuff.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That's how football works at the top end though and has always been the case. Cantona, Cole and RVP being three examples (and Pochetino himself to Spurs)

Yes - Spurs stop Poch talking. That's only served to ramp up and intensify the story.

Well done.

When it comes to managers being linked to a club like United it is never a non-story, because the majority of managers in the world will want the job.

Feck me mate you saying the stuff you have on here then claiming to be an adult.

You clearly lack any remote notion of what the media is and how it works or are just sticking your head in the sand. Wake up

That press officer conducted himself very well.

If I were Poch I would definitely use this as leverage on Levy.

I think he will stay unless Eriksen gets sold, but don't think it will affect spurs this season. He is so professional.

I think it could either mean two things, that Poch is using this as leverage to up his contract and wage budget in the summer at Spurs or he is genuinely wants the Utd job in the summer. Personally I think it’s the latter because no offence to Spurs but he will regret not joining Utd and becoming a true great.

It wouldn`t be up to you. If a bigger club come calling, then Klippoty would jump at the chance to manage the 13 times Prem champions. He would be off like a rocket, given the chance.

No he wouldn’t. Liverpool and Utd are on the same level in the football food chain.

United is a poisoned chalice and some of their players absolutely stink.

Sanchez having a £20k bet with Royo that Mourinho would be sacked, and gloating on Twitter.
Pogba smirking immediately after the sacking saying José picked on the wrong “baller”.

Poch doesn't do egotistical, and why would he abandon his style to go to United and put himself under immense pressure trying to rebuild aclub in turmoil.

Listen you can try and make yourself feel better by labelling us whatever you want. The fact is though alongside Madrid, Utd is the biggest club in the world, they may not currently be the best but they are certainly the biggest this can’t be disputed it’s fact which is why most managers would like to make the step up. Poch already did it once by leaving Soton to go to you, so I don’t know why you think he won’t do the same again.

posted on 21/12/18

I think Poch will think with a bit of investment he can make this spurs team into one of the best in Europe. If he is patient enough I definitely think there will be good money available over the next couple of years as the stadium money starts coming in (naming rights, ticket sales etc)

If he can do that at spurs and win a title he will go down with Bill Nich as the greatest ever manager we have had.

At United, in a few years he can win a title, but he will never get near to what Ferguson achieved whatever he does.

I think that means something and I expect him to stay another couple of years

Exactly this. And if poch comes in those two players would probably be the first to get a rocket up them and told to start earning their wage.
