Liverpool will destroy Newcastle today.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

If only football worked like that. I bet you also thought City would destroy Palace.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s funny how you make statements like this when it comes to other teams, yet are quite happy to predict that Spurs are very likely to win their next ten games.

Are you happy to admit that you’re probably the biggest hypocrite on this site?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

How do you know Spurs will not win their next 9 games, now, they have already won the most difficult one, the first one of the 10.

10 games ago Spurs were 1 point behind Liverpool.
5 games ago Spurs were 3 points behind Liverpool
Now Spurs are 6 points behind Liverpool.

Those 10 games since included games against Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City, plus cup games away to Barca and Arsenal. Liverpool over the same period have only played only a poor Man United at home. Let`s see how the next 10 games pan out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What are you on about? last ten league games we played Arsenal and Man City.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

ArsenalSpurs beat them on their own patch just a few days ago.

You haven't played City in your last 10 Prem games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arsenal was a one off cup game. What relevance does it have to the league?

What do all comps have to do with league points?

Last ten league games played Man City, Arsenal and Man Utd (who sandy insists having in a comparison of top teams ie the top 6 mini league comparison)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dunno just saw Sandy included Barca game in his argument
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No I said Spurs last 10 games included, City Arsenal and Chelsea PLUS cup games against Arsenal and Barca. I did not include the cup games in the 10 games.

ok it was 11 games back.

Whatever way you look at it Spurs are 6 points behind Liverpool.. having started level at the start of the season.

Spurs still have to come to Anfield.

Spurs will NOT be top of the league at any forthcoming stage of this season.

I don’t know, but that’s not my point, is it? A Spurs fan thinks that we will beat Newcastle comfortably, yet you point out that ‘football doesn’t work like that’. But then you have hunk that on paper, Spurs should win those ten games.

Why are the rules different for you than every other poster?

Well last season you lot waffled on about reaching a CL final, which was also all about one off cup football. You cannot have it both ways fella. What is it league football or cup football? Usually when you are behind Spurs in the Prem, it is all about the CL, now you are in front it is all about the Prem.

But the debate here is about how far Spurs are behind Liverpool in the league, so I ask again, what relevance has the Arsenal game got to that?

It’s pretty hypocritical for you to accuse us of something, yet you’re even worse at doing exactly the same thing, virtually every time you post.....

Considering you spend at least three quarters of your life on here, I’d say that’s a bit rich..... And I’m not getting worked up, I’m questioning what you say, without insults, which is what you ask of everyone, isn’t it?

The fact you have to resort to this suggests that you’re the one getting worked up, as you don’t really have an answer, because you know it’s true 👍

In order to catch Liverpool up, realistically we'll have to a) get some big wins under our belt to alter the goal difference, b) win at Anfield, and c) not lose as much as we have the first half of the season.
