makes sense to build a team around that, especially considering hes been so "poor"....

Strangely enough I think defensively he is the 2nd best behind azpilicueta. Offensively he is now garbage which is odd considering he played right wing most of his career.

i was watching the Utd 3 - Bayern 2 game and our second goal, rooney switches to valencia (god how many times did we watch that ball) valencia stands the full back up, drops the shoulder, beats him, pings the ball in for Nani to flick in.

I've been one of his buggets critics, but if we are giving fecking Lukaku a clean slate than Valencia deserves one too.

We can all agree he's been poor going forward but we also know Jose didn't let him.

He was the same in Fergie’s last season and was playing as a winger then.

I’ve never seen a player so suddenly lose the ability to cross a ball like Valencia.

Any manager would love an Ashley Young in their squad. How many times has he saved us when we had injuries? He didn't have the stellar scoring career we thought we'd signed, but he's the type of player you need to be able to call up and play anywhere across the field, which he'll do for us. Ungrateful supporters don't appreciate a player like Young and it's shameful.

I do. I think he has been a very good servant to us. Great character and shows passion and has had some superb performances in big games for us. He can still do a job just not a starter for me

Not that big a fan of Young, but I appreciate what he’s done for us since becoming a defender. Was a waste of space as a winger.
