Maybe he didn't talk to Rooney as he was a senior player. Maybe he did talk to the likes of Shaw, etc. We had one player's point of view. Shaw doesn't seem to be holding any grudges against Jose.

Ole is encouraging Valencia. He said getting forward, which could be taken a few ways. It doesn't exactly mean he's great at attacking. As Hafi said, he does get forward. But for now, we need to pick up the squad.

His comments to Lukaku and Sanchez were different. So to some it's to boost confidence and to others to challenge themselves. Jose only used the stick. Ole seems to know what to use.

If you look at SAF, or read his books, you will see how his man management skills evolved over time. You'll also hear what he has said about Ole. I think the key will be his man management and in game management rather than just tactics and how he sets the team up. I think the latter will be not just down to him but also the coaches.

Jose's criticism of his players in public was disgusting. You don't expect Ole to do the same, do you ?

Most of us knew this would happen. It's why quite a few of us were shocked we offered him a new contract midway through last season.
